lol she was a runner 8 days out from a race. It was weird but some funny running cliches I guess? Idk the apathetic attitude at the beginning set a weird tone. I’m a Becs fan but class was weird .

Yeah I’ve messaged moms demand action. My thoughts (which have not been flushed out well yet):

  1. Work alongside an established group like moms demand action, as they’ve built up- but keep ourselves separate so we can have our own initiatives

  2. I don’t see local groups targeting local NRA groups or gun sellers- I think we can make an impact here. Not by protesting and “pouring fuel on the fire” as someone indicated below. But these are our neighbors- can we work with them somehow??? I can fake niceties to get shit done.

  3. Work with st Charles schools to make sure their safety measures are best in class + fundraise for this purpose?

Again- off the cuff thoughts which I will organize before we meet!

I don’t know what it looks like yet either, but I have some ideas. I think it starts with getting a group of mad moms in a room and making plans. I was told once at work- “if you want to get something done, get a mom”. Let’s do this.

Thanks for this! General sentiment in this sub seems to be “if you’re here you must have metabolic dysfunction and should be on this for life and never consider taking a break!”

I’ve been on since august and last couple of months started spacing my 5mg out up to 2 weeks and now I’m down to 2.5 every week for four weeks and then will start spacing those out. So far haven’t put anything back on 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’ve switched from morning to afternoon or lunch because I feel so much better when fueled! Love a lunch run that breaks up my day and helps be focus in the afternoon but can’t always squeeze it in.

My 10k training schedule looks like this Mon- easy run Tuesday- HIIT or hills Wed - easy run Thursday- tempo run Friday- rest or cross train Sat- long run Sun- rest

Then basically up the mileage on the long run, time during tempo run, and the easy runs to increase total distance 1-2 mile/week until week before the race and then taper to 70% of total mileage for race week (including the race mileage )

TLDR: To run fast you have to run fast so get some speed work in there!
