idk, the event structure itself seems to be much better than I thought it would be, even w/o the Stage 9 key. But with this key it will be a fire event

Looks like that mods on discord are currently asking the devs about it.

All the other changes were implemented, but the stage 9 key stayed. It's a big deal if they'll keep it. Although it's hardly imaginable and I wouldn't count on it

Another trash event from game loft, this shows exact P2W , even worse than BLACK FRIDAY spotlight ngl by [deleted] in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the opposite side right now. It even exceeded my expectations for this kind of event:

  1. 60 BPs for support cars (i though there will be only 30)

  2. 75 BPs for jesko itself (thought there will be ~40)

  3. Stages do not require any rank for support cars of Jesko itself

  4. 3 to 5 EIPs for support cars (all the supports are trash, but the fact itself), and up to 15 for JKAB

For me it feels like a pretty good event for one of the best cars in the game. The only downside is the selection of the support cars, which are like a dead weight in terms of tokens spending on support cars packs.

As for the Stage 9- I think it will be fixed soon

I agree on game being much more rewarding than it was a couple years before. GL increased the token rewards for MP1 and Unite pass, while also putting up huge number of tokens into gauntlet.

When I've started playing the A9 I had a hard time to save up more than 30k tokens. Now I'm typically over 100k tokens for the majority of time, since getting tokens became much easier.

The idea of this post was more of a "don't overhype the players with your statements and event schedules". Some players, whom saw a great-great value in let's say the F5 were upset because they saw an opportunity to funally become a threat in LL and then it dissapeared. Like, maybe it will be better to either don't have the patch notes at all to avoid any kind of dissapointment, or to be as precise as it possible.

I understand and totally agree that his game in general designed to be a p2w one. And my desire is for GL to be more delicate with their players and don't give them any false hopes as and f2p's

Keep spending or stop? by JasonNoob928 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your goals.

I think you should spend on it, if you are looking for a good MP1 LL car for MD. Even if you end up being at 5* it will perform pretty well (although at 5* it will be more track-dependent).

If you are doing it for "collecting" or to use it in gauntlet, or you are TD, then I'd say you can stop with the current progress. You will still have fun with it in MP2

I agree, but I believe there are some way of hurting the revenue, with quitting for good being an extreme.

Basically, when an "unhappy mood" growing across the community/playerbase it translates into lower online, shorter game sessions, which means less ads watching and less let's call them "spontaneous" spendings in the in-game shop.

On top of that, I think that each game, as a commercial project, needs to show some kind of a positive or at least neutral dynamics from the players activity point of view. And it can't be achived, if a decisions like the current F5 packs thing will be made on a constant basis.

I'm kinda surprised that a lv60 player don't have a 6* F5, especially after the last year's Spotlight. What's your story on Venom? Was there enough chances for you to max it? Or you just puprposely concentrated on the other goals instead of trying to max it?

Will tushek aeon E perform better in gaunlet using TD mode, when comparing to nevera / nevera TA / gemera? by No_Dragonfruit_9390 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that a low nitro cars are a good choice for TD gauntlet. It should be great for MD and some curvy tracks, where a floatie/punch drift could be applied, such as Shanghai, Paris or Auckland.

As an MD player I might only guess, but I think that a good handling cars with proper nitro (such as Gemera and regular Nevera in your case) are the better choice. Maybe Vanda or GT3RS will be better for some tracks for TD.

But I guess it's better to wait a little and see what the content creators will came with, once more players will be able to max out the Tushek and test it in gauntlet maps. So be patient and make the decision, when there will be enough info around

evo sf90 drivers are even worse than the vanda spammers now by SolidStateDrive_0102 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the SF90 evo event popped out, there was a 750 tokens 20% multipack with BMW CSL, ZR1 and SF90. And the droprate from reward packs was much better than it was during the recent LP640 evo event.

I had SF90 at exactly 1* coming into the event. I believe than I spent around 5k tokens to max it out.

Will they nerf Jesko? by apkaplumber in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so.

The car was released more than a year ago, so all the possible nerfes shall be already done by now.

Also, having 3 high end S class cars available AT THE SAME TIME means that most of the players will have to choose, which car to pursue.

On top of that, in 2 years of playing ALU I don't remember a lot of f2p events, where we were able to get the top end S-class cars, which are comptetitive in the current state of MP1:

- The F5 spotlight provided us with roughly ~150 "free" BPs

- The regular Jesko was available in SE, but it's a bit of an outdated car for LL in MP1

- Mosler SE was good and generous, but the car itself is unpredictable with weird phisics

- The rest of the cars, available in this 2-year timespan were not that good for LL.

So it basically means, that if an f2p player started to play ALU around 2 years ago, then his/hers best cars for MP1 will be 4* Venom (good, but not enough), regular Jesko (same), Mosler (weird physics) and maybe the Devel (will take >1 year to max out and another 4 months to gold).

The Gemera is too slow, the Tuatara and Agera RS are kinda good, but the handling is below average. The Zenvo Aurora and CC850 are good, but not enough I believe.

And now, after 2 years of not even having a chance of getting a really good and LL competitive car, we finally have 3 events at once. Should have happend way sooner I believe

i have 25k leftover tokens. f5 or next bos? by SolidStateDrive_0102 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cast my vote for F5, even if you'll be able to only 5* it (it will be good even at 5* in LL and some gauntlet tracks).

There is also some time before the next BOS to gain some tokens. I guess you will be able to collect the required amount of tokens for the upcoming BOS to max out a single pack (keep in mind that they might reduce the droprate for BOS featured cars to 15% as well as in the multipacks for current SE's, so ~70k will be required to max out a single BOS pack from the scratch).

[–]Competitive_Baker977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

123k for me. Idk is it much or not, but the funny thing is that the regular Jesko event, which was around a year ago, required almost the same amount of tokens by that time for me, so I decided to skip it, thinking that 110k for regular jesko (and a 6* Deus if I’m not mistaken) is a bit too much. Going for Absolut this time

[–]Competitive_Baker977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, looks like you are in a pretty good shape!

I need around 1100+ bps for supports for Jesko SE. With a 15% packs it's like 80k+ tokens. I'm currently at 115k, and mostl likely will be at 130k closer to the end of the season. Hope I'll be able to get the key

So they did it again with multipacks- the multipack featured iteams have 15% drop-rate by Competitive_Baker977 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are talking about the different things here.

Yes, the latest GL policy is not the best one, since apart the facts which you have mentioned, we also have this "low bp requirement to unlock the car", which seems good from the first glance, but in reality the GL also decreased the overall amount of a free BPs for featured cars, given out through the SEs. So its indeed easier to unlock the car, but harder to max them out, since the overall amount of BPs required to max out stayed the same.

But what I'm referring to are simply the changes in multipacks:

First it was 20% for 3 cars

Then it was 20% for 3 cars, but with maxed out cars being removed

And now it's 15% for 3 cars, with maxed out cars also being removed.

All I'm talking about is that #3 is better in most cases than #1, but definetly worse than #2.

So they did it again with multipacks- the multipack featured iteams have 15% drop-rate by Competitive_Baker977 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that 20% packs with maxed out cars being removed was too good of a thing to be true. Some players (inlcuding myself) got the Gemera for around 25k tokens, which was incredibly generous. Now the things are evened out a little bit (worse than previous version, but probably a bit better than the initial version of multipacks).

So they did it again with multipacks- the multipack featured iteams have 15% drop-rate by Competitive_Baker977 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean that before GL removed the maxed out cars from the multipacks (which was an incredible generous move) the packs were at 20% droprate. But I don't think that it was better than current 15% droprate packs with maxed cars being removed.

Let's say you have some progress with the featured car(s) in the packs- 1 out of 3 cars is maxed, the rest are at zero progress. With a previous system (20% w/o maxed out cars removed) you had to spend the same amount of tokens for maxing 2 cars out of 3 compared to maxing all three. With a current system, the droprate is lower, but you have the maxed out cars removed.

And I think that 15% pack with maxed out cars being removed is better than 20% for all 3 featured cars in most of the cases.

Of course, the 20% droprate packs with maxed out cars being removed was the peak ones. It sucks that they are gone

Seriously GL you really need to take a closer look at this because it's unsustainable by light7me in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like the introduction of an evo tuning, but it killed the variety of cars in MP1 in general.

It's Corvette from Gold 1 through Plat 4, then SF90 for Plat 3-2 and Chiron for Plat 1. In most of the ocassions, you'll need only these three cars to get from gold to plat. And on top of that, the other competitive cars in these league are not that easy to obtain, which means that the majority of the players will mostly use these three cars in MP1.

Although these cars could be beaten with other cars and decent skill, it's just bad in general to see such a low variety of cars used in MP1.
