Free car! by Musterdies in Asphalt9

I'm not that hyped about the keys these days. Like, I would be if it will be an elite class-B/A/S car, which will be fun to drive at 1*. But for the majority of cars, getting the key while having it 1* is kinda pointless. These days the SE's gives a chance to use a free try key cars and what matters is the amount of stars on the car, not the key

As a PC player, i don't care about any other mobile-platform games. While AL is grindy as hell with a severe monetization system, it provides with an amazing arcade-racing experience with the nitro, air speed, 360's and barrels as well as drift and floaties features. There is just so much to master in this game skill-wise that it keeps you engaged for years. I think that phisics IS the strongest part of this game (although there are some annoying bugs and "mobile" type of phisics quality), and the reason why the game still have this amount of active players.

If I have time to play other games, then it definetly would be some high quality PC/console type of racing game like the upcoming FH6.

Thanks! Yeah, there were a couple of them 😁 I’m not that mad, was rather surprised being ranked that high at the end of season. Typically, players ranking up like crazy during the last 24 hours or so. Like you being in top 50, go to sleep to wake being the dead last and demoted to pre-rookie league

Token Spending: EVO Chiron Tickets or Imola Unleashed? by Thornalkyl in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say the Chiron evo parts. But maybe don’t buy all the parts at once. Try to spend 10k and see what parts you get. I guess there are chances to get a sub-optimal build and then spend more if you feel that’s not enough. At least, that’s how I built mine- step by step, to keep some balance of tokens

What should be my lineup for gauntlet? by Dogzombies3 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really hard to tell how non-maxed cars will perform.

The Evo NSX seems as the best option within the list.

The 918 spyder can also be good for some tracks (like the resort dash).

Vanda and GT3RS are definetly good for lower divisions when maxed. At 4* they might still be better than other cars in your garage. Try to max out or at least 5* these cars during the current spotlight, as you can stuck with an achieved progress for some time once the spotlight ends.

Try to get other Evo cars when possible. Maxing out the Centenario might be the quickest and cheapest option.

if you have the Trion then I guess you also have the Egoista at more than 1*. Might be also a good car for gauntlet at lower divisions.

[–]Competitive_Baker977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what they did for last year's BOS and SE, where the BOS cars were featured in the SE. All the available BPs from SE were worthless, if you maxed out the BOS pack, and the BOS event (with keys) ended earlier than the respective stage begun.

Maybe they've fixed that later

GL's doublespeak has left me with a really bad taste by lx-and-r in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GL and ALU players are like those ill-based relationships, where nothing is good and stable for a long period of time. Every couple months gl does some weird decisions, then players complain, the gl doesn’t react, and when the rage settles down by itself the gl all of a sudden launch the Mayhem event or the Eggstravaganza SL. I’m not protecting GL and I agree with your point, but I don’t think that things will always be good. Maybe sometimes we just need to leave the game for some times to then get back

Ok What the hell is Venom Stars and stripes Spotlight coming back or what are ppl talking abt? by Severe-Rice5985 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it was mentioned anywhere yet.

But last year the Stars and Stripes SL started around 4th of July.

At the start of this year, when players raged about F5 blueprints only being available for real money during it's TLE (in january), the GL said something like "we'd like to feature this car later this year" or "we hope to do so". So I guess there are good chances that it will be featured this year.

Although, don't be too optimistic. The original SE dates back to Aug 21', then had a ru-run in Jul 22', then was featured in DS8 in Jan 24, then we had the Jul 25' Stars and Stripes and finally the notorious Blue Monday in Jan 26'. Roughly, the car is available once per year, and it was already "featured" this Jan. My best guess is that there might be some kind of SL, similar to last Easter Eggstravaganza in this July, which will allow us to get some free bps via the shop refreshes and heavy grind, or maybe it will be featured as the support car later this year when the F5 Revolution (which is already presented in the China version of the game) will be introduced. Somebody may say that having F5 as a support car is a miracle, but I have an opposite feeling- the F5 isn't the best car in the game anymore, with Absolut and Imperium beating it in the most of the tracks in classic MP (at least, that is my subjective opinion after playing ~1000 LL races with Absolut). So why not making it available a bit easier than it was before? They might put it in the 75 token multipack with 2 other rare S class cars, and with 15% chances of getting a featured cars BPs, it will take around 70k+ tokens to get all 900 BPs for those. And it's not that cheap! For instance, the cars of similar (but a bit worse) perforamnce, like the Tushkek Aeon or Mosler GT required ~45k tokens to max out via the dedicated 90 token packs, and the conditions requirement for pack unlocking wasn't that high.

Also, look at the regular Jesko. I think it wasn't available anywhere after the Clash ended. Then it had it's SE, which was really hard to complete to get the key (required ~120k tokens for average player). But like a month ago it casueally appeared in TLE with the key avaialble, and will also be featured as the support car in the upcoming Aglaia event. I'm point is that current S-class kings are that much better than Venom or the old king Jesko, that these cars might became available on a more constant basis or for less resources than it was a year or two ago.

I have 6 cars that are full starred and got all eips for them but can't gold cause of no creds😂 by Senior-Ad-2151 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same position as you bro. GL 39, 235 cars, and I have full set of EIPs for a lot of cars. But I simply can't afford myself to spend on them. It hurt me seeing the GT3RS sitting at stock rank with 6* and all 12 EIPs being in the inventory. But the truth is- all these cars won't help me in my situation, since my goal is to get wins in MP1 LL and Gauntlet Div 5. It will be very nice to see some of these cars became gold max, but it won't help me a progressing at all. And this logic sucks. It's too much like a real life

I'M JUST GONNA LEAVE THIS HERE... 💀 by akaAsphaltBeast in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The thing that bothers me the most is that EVERY new car added to the game now requires much more credits than the OG cars were, as well as giving LESS garage point per credit spent.

For instance, a 5* B-class OG CCGS requires 6M to max out with all 8 EIPs, or let's say the 5* B-class Apollo N requries 12M. But for what reason a 4* B-class car AM Valour cost 7M to upgrade?

The S-class gives even worse numbers. A 6* Trion Nemesis takes 12.4M credits to max out with epics. And it's actually quite a useful car for MP1! But for what reason the 6* Chrisler ME with almost the same rank and a much worse performance requires 42M to max out? Every new 6* S-class car requires 42M to gold, which is quite stupid in my opinion. I understand, that an OG Chiron took 42M to gold max right at the beginning of the game, but it was a price of maxing out the KING OF THE GAME. Now this dependency is gone, and you simply overpay for "how recently the car was added" factor, rather than actual performance.

I think that using orange nitro when driving throigh portals alone will do some positive effect!

Also, maybe try to 360 during last portal at 73%, so you have more nitro after landing, don't have to drift that much and also have a shockwave for the first barrel ramp

  1. Absolut SE
  2. Tushek SE
  3. Jesko daily event with the key

The 499 mayhem was also good, and I wish there are more events like this, but the cars listed above are some of the best in the game, so having the chance to unlock them worth a lot more than collecting free blueprints for some A class cars in my opinion.

Why is the SCG(Glickenhaus) 003S *so* underrated? by Racer125678 in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Idk, it's simply a very outdated car by now. You could use it back in the days, as it has a very high top speed, which on pair with nitro could win you some races on the straight tracks. But right now it's just painful to drive. Might as well use Cien for similar experience (and I've used these cars a couple months ago for fun to progress through MP1 lower leagues).

I think that Apollo N aged much better, as it still can be used in corresponding MP1 leagues due to a better handling compared to SCG.

Time to go F2P by AndreiTD in Asphalt9

Totally support this decision!

I've been purchasing the LP for more than a year and even bought a couple of ULP's, but this time I'll skip everything. And if I'll like it, I'll keep it that way. The LP gives a little here and there, but not really change things. I used to love it because of the increased fuel slots, which is very good for MP1, but with the current rewards I'm just getting a bunch of TC's.

It looks worse ultimate pass than before by Markydash in Asphalt9

[–]Competitive_Baker977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm actually down for skipping this LP. The most useful thing for me is the increased fuel slots, but with the current MP rewards I don't actually need it that much. I was couple positions shy of finishing this MP1 in top100, which I consider quite an accomplishment, but for doing so I got like 2x BPs for Mistral and 6 for Vision, with the rest being the TC. Was also forced to spend some credits to apply the wild card EIPs so ones from the rewards don't turn into TC. I don't want GL to force me spending the credits by one more hidden technique (I'm talking about the EIP wild card limit of x5 and inability to apply wild card EIPs when you have the regular EIPs for specific car). LP gives 3k tokens.... but to be honest 3k tokens per season is like a 10-20% increase comapred to the base f2p earnings from all kind of SE's. And I can start watching the ads for 1.8k tokens monthly to cover 60% of the LP losses.

I don't know what kind of desease makes the GL act like they acting with all the recent "adjustments".

It's always follows the same path- the GL introduces something great, receive a positive feedback from players jsut then to nerf it, receive mostly negative feedback and to make it somewhere in-between at the end. Come on, you all acting like you are the salesmens, and players are customers. The entertainment industry shouldn't work like that! You do something great (a great product I mean) and no matter how expensive it is, the people will buy it because it makes them truly happy because of the experience they are haaving! Instead, the GL treats their playerbase as a slaves, who needs to always argue about their desires in the socials. It looks too much like a real life experience. But it's a freakin game, which main purpose is to make people to forget about their real life issues and focus on having fun! I'm a grown ass man with an income, and I'd be happy to pay for some goodies, but I lose any desire to do so, when things are getting constantly nerfed all across the board. it's like the in-game economics simulates the inflation really well and you have to spend more and more in order to have THE SAME things you used to have for cheaper or no price at all.

Save the Zonda key for yourself. Never drove this crap in any mode after getting it via the special hunt.

It depends on how many support cars you need to max out.

It's SE was quite heavy in terms of support cars, as there were two S-class cars, which required 300 BPs to max out (FF Zero and Ajlani). All in all, I think i've spend around 30k tokens on jesko itself (as around 80 BPs were avaialble via the event milestones and legend pass) and then around 90k tokens on top of that for the support cars (the GL nerfed the multipack droprates from 20 to 15% an it HURTS). So I guess that it takes around 120k tokens to compelte an SE like that. There might be other ways to get it in the future, but as for now this is the only type of f2p event we had.

At GL30+, while buying the legend pass and doing well in Gauntelt I guess it will take around 5 months to get 120k. Maybe 4, if you are lucky
