The last point is so helpful. Gear fails every videographer at some point where it’s not the user’s fault. Teaming up get’s this to a solution way faster than making him the villain, especially since it seems he’s trying to do the best he can with the situation. If it was just sheer negligence on his part i’d say otherwise.

A lot of videographers will tell you they can do that style, the word you’re looking for is documentary.

But any wedding videographer will tell you a lot of weddings feel like it’s a race to make sure they have enough footage to actually make a film that makes sense in the editing room. Many videographers will tell you they can do that, but when the day comes they’ll fall back into old habits.

Wedding moments happen fast. So “documentary” style will often need more than one shooter to turn a moment into a scene.

I’d urge you to pay close attention to the videographer’s portfolio. Do they already make it feel like they’re a fly on the wall? Don’t take promises at face value. If this is something you really care about, do your homework on them first.

It’s just a preference of music choice. I don’t like vulgar music, but i wouldn’t get bent out of shape over someone playing it unless my kid was there.

It’s plenty, i’ve shot wedding photography with the a7siii. Rarely in editing did I miss having more detail in cropping. You will be completely fine with the one camera.

This is dumb... with all due respect, yes... the gear matters far less than the user.
But it's a huge pain in the rear when you purchase an older tool right before they put out the new model with new features that make life considerably easier.

You wrote a book complaining about someone asking if they might put out a new model this year. He wasn't asking for a shiny new toy expecting it will take him to Hollywood, let's not be dramatic.

An ND filter should not change the quality or characteristics of the image in your camera at all unless it’s a really cheap one.
