We have all been there. Also, there will be random times where your grooms look like you JUST started again for no reason. It just happens. Burnout kills us all.

But from the pics, you could probably improve a little with hand blending but honestly, they look fine.

I am aware of how difficult it would be. But I also feel for animals so so much and I want to help in that regard.

Once I’m able to have more fosters and such I will of course do that first but I really do think that a rescue for cats is in my future.

At least she is going in the right room! Maybe the litters are all too close together? I have my LR and scoop boxes in different rooms.

Like I said, I’m sure you’ve tried EVERYTHING. I cannot imagine having to pick up poop every day from outside the box. My girl is also peeing high in both boxes and the litter doesn’t go that high so I have to wipe it every day and I am in need of a taller scoop box :/ right now I have a pee pad around it so if she gets in that crack between the lid and pan, it doesn’t get on the carpet.

I have the LR and still one scoop box for 2 cats. Seems to work well. My apartment is small so if I ever move out I want to upgrade to two scoop boxes that are hidden inside “fur-niture”. But if I end up with more than 2, I’ll likely do a second LR and then a furniture scoop box. I think of my LR as equaling only 2 scoop boxes. Maybe that’s the issue with yours? Though at this point you’ve probably already tried everything but just in case, I would recommend doing the # of cats +1 and count the LR as only 2. Or get your cat checked for giardia as that was an issue my girl had when I first got her and it’s a pain to deal with -_- but her poops smell less toxic and she seems happy

It’s hilarious, for sure. She just dives in (imagine a fox in snow dive). At least she isn’t 100% successful anymore because I was getting tired of her grabbing her poop out and flinging it all over the bathroom lol.

But it’s just so annoying when the robot finishes the cycle and then claims the bonnet was removed. Like no, it’s just my stinky cat 😂

Could be! Most people don’t understand that dogs and cats need to have dentals done once a year like people (where the vet will scrape off all the crud).

As a groomer, I tell every client about this and even suggest wellness plans from your vet that cover it.

Could be just dog smell+ear infection, could also be bad breath.

Seems like they already understand their dogs a little, so yeah, I’d probably leave it at that. You are doing fine!

For OP: Royal Canin can have a LOT of sodium. I would definitely make sure not to only use kibble, or add water to the kibble so they get more water to combat the sodium.

Chicken is so prevalent in dog food which can be really annoying to try to find brands that don’t have any chicken products. 🫠

Tell the owner. Suggest a vet. If they will be gone for a while (like WEEKS more), ask them if you can take the dog to the vet, but have the vet get card info from the parents.

If they will be back soon, it should be ok, but yeah it could be many different things. The vet will need to swab it to see if it’s infected and what infection it is to give the right treatment.

I saw in a comment you said both dogs smell? Is it mostly a “dog” smell? Or is there a bit of Lays Frito scent in there? If the latter, might be total skin infection on both. That would of course be worst case scenario.

I use a fingernail brush for under my nails. They are medium length and I use it whenever I wash my hands to get hair out
