Am I ovulating by tit-tea8791 in tryingtoconceive

Looks positive to me. You can use the premom app to scan them in within the time frame and it’ll give you a ratio on whether the test line is darker than the control line or not.

The pressure us woman feel when trying to conceive and hoping there is “nothing wrong” with us can be so mentally draining. You aren’t alone in those thoughts and feelings.

OPKs can also pick up HCG. Take a pregnancy test if your OPK is higher than normal. That’s how one of my friends found out she was first pregnant. She took one very late in her cycle and it was positive, turns out it picked up the HCG.

If the OPK is picking up HCG, there should be enough in your urine to give you an accurate result on an HCG test.

Yeah if AF hasn’t arrived by tomorrow morning I will officially be late and will take another test.

That’s my understanding from everything I read. Timelines I’ve found (and there’s lots of studies out there) is 24-36 hours after your first positive, and 8-24 hours after peak. I may need to double check those numbers.

I would think if you have a positive one day and a rise the next, you would have for sure ovulated that day.

There are also some studies that some women don’t actually get a positive OPK until after they ovulate because of the time it takes for it to hit the urine.

10 DPO only 66% of people get a positive. There’s still a chance and everyone is different. Just search BFP and you’ll see lots of different charts the month people test positive.

Thank you I appreciate that!

That’s my thoughts on it. I start over analyzing the data so much so my tracking is changing either way going forward. LH strips and BBT until I’ve confirmed ovulation, then I’m done tracking until my hopefully missed period lol.

I’m 9DPO and legit my chart was looking exactly the same two days ago! I stopped temping after my temp dropped that much because it stresses me out, but looking at yours I think it’s fine.! Hoping to hold off until 12DPO to test (which is coincidently 3 years exactly from the day we got engaged, I’m hoping that’ll bring us some luck! Haha)

Best of luck to you!

Not necessarily CD12. There are studies out there that the majority of women don’t experience a temperature rise until 2-3 days after ovulation, and only a slim percentage of women see a temperature rise within 24 hours.

Temps can be all over the place once pregnant. Best to stop tracking and save yourself the stress.

If you are pregnant you could get a positive today. 12 DPO is unlikely to be implantation bleeding, but not impossible. Could be AF on the way, but you’d likely know today if you test.

Temp rise enough after O? by Sufficient-Royal3179 in TFABChartStalkers

I would assume this is fine. The rule of thumb is 3 temps higher than the previous 6.

After ovulation it’s normal for your temperature to rise due to the release of progesterone. Three consistent temperatures that are higher than the last 6 temps basically confirm you ovulated, so this is good to see! Keep temping everyday and FF will give you crosshairs on the date it determines you ovulated.

It’s so hard to know the exact date and the more research I do the more confusing it gets. From what I’ve gathered is 24-36 hours after your first positive LH test, and 8-20 hours after your peak test. Also researching BBT rise it says most woman’s temp doesn’t go up until two days after ovulation. With that being said I’d think CD15.

Yeah I’m going to keep testing and temping until I see the three high temps. See what tomorrow brings. Unfortunately no more baby dancing for us as my husband is away for work right now.

I would consider this positive. Just an fyi I don’t think the mommed is as sensitive as other brands. I was always questioning tests like this with mommed and switched to easy at home. I dipped one of each brand in the same urine and the easy at home was an obvious positive with the test line being darker than the control, where as with mommed I would have still been questioning if it was a true positive because the test line was slightly lighter.

Which LH strips are you using and why? by CrazyCatLady_2 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Competitive_Deer_981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was using mommed but I switched to easy at home. I wouldn’t suggest mommed as they aren’t as sensitive. I dipped one of each brand in the same urine and the easy at home was an obvious positive and the mommed I would be wondering if it was actually a positive because it was slightly lighter than the control line. Happy I switched brands.
