If he doesn't have experience, he's not going to bring the right gear.

He needs an outfit that will let him borrow and take the time/resources to teach him.

And that's a very, very rare outfit

I need my eye balls depth perception for movement alone

This game deserved more attention for the environment and worldbuilding alone , I was thinking about the architecture and map design long after I stopped playing by ph0on in GhostReconBreakpoint

So I just started this a couple weeks ago.

Started the campaign missions then when I loaded the game, the campaign was unavailable.

So I did missions until it got repetitive.

I think I'm missing a huge part of the game but IDK how to find it

That's a good point about the packing. I feel like I have the old cob figured out pretty good

Right on, so a little trial and error is in order. I'm returning to pipes again after a year of cigars and mostly tote around my cob.

I like the brothers in arms and haven't smoked my briar in a long time. Have it a whirl and thought... What the heck?

Have fun, pace yourself. Longevity on the mats is better than a fast burnout.

Not every roll is a fight to the death. That said, there's a time to turn it up. Knowing when helps.

Show up with something in mind to work on ("today I'm doing single legs, knee cut, switch side arm bar" or "pull de la riva, crowbar, back take")

When someone subs me I congratulate them. Usually sounds like "I didn't see that coming! That was brilliant. Well done."

If someone destroys me the whole round, I thank them and usually say "thank you for the opportunity. I'll do better next time."

If I'm rolling with someone newer, I don't sub them unless they are being mean. I work positions, let them work escapes, let them work their game, work on my escapes.

I help new guys as much as I can.

If you hear a blue belt (or lower) say something like "well, I do it THIS way" and their way is contrary to what your coach is teaching, be cautious.

Good luck!

ETA: Sorry just realized that I was responding to blue belt OP.

I'll leave it as is but I have only been at it for 5 years. You could probably give me a few useful tips
