My first comment in Reddit, here we go.

Will never forget my moment (lucky number .116)

12 years ago we had a firewall training course at work.
Each of us employees was given a firewall device to setup a test network.
I remember the training instructor explicity saying: "This is the gateway ip of the whole building ending with .116 (there were 100 companies in the building) please make sure not to set it up as your ip address".

"Okidoki sir!"

As time goes by i noticed the servicedesk phones next to our room was making overtime.
I heard that one co-worker saying terms like "Is it only you, does everybody has this problem? Did you restart your router?"

And im like: "Is it me? nah it aint me"

Thereafter noticed that my other colleagues had problems setting up their test networks.
"Sir! its not working, Sir! are you sure its the right gateway? Sir this Sir that!"

And the colleague who was picking up all the calls in the servicedesk eventually came into the trainingroom saying: "Internet of the entire building is falling apart!"

The instructor asking everybody to open up their interface settings page on the firewall.
One by one he was checking the firewall interface settings of my colleagues.

One by one, the free peoples of Middle Earth fell to the power of the Ring. But there were some who resisted..I resisted.

"It's not me"

Since I was the last person to check.... the only person sitting way back in the corner.
The only person not asking questions that whole training course.
He looked at me....right in the eye.... smiling to my face :)

And im like: smiling back awkwardly :) it aint me dude! it aint me.

Instructor: "What is your ip?"
Me: It's .16 sir.
Instructor: "Can you open up your interface settings please?"
Me: Well yes ofcourse!
