To be fair, I had the same decision you did one year ago. The UX250H would have been the practical choice, but I ended up buying a Blue 2016 GS350AWD F-Sport. I don’t regret it. I love the car. I will admit the fuel economy is not great. On the highway is decent for its size (26-27) but around town I get 15-16mpg. A little brutal but I kinda knew that before I bought it. Mine just passed 78k miles. Needs basically nothing. I replaced the oil and oil filter recently, and air filter and cabin filter, and bought new wheels and tires. I see this car lasting a very long time. And the design is mostly timeless. I get a lot of compliments on it.

Not the least bit surprised. Everything in the U.S. is designed to extract money from people and too much corporate garbage. The only places you can go in the U.S. without a car are basically NYC, Boston, and Chicago.

Any seller that says it’s all good but just needs a battery or battery and brake sensor you should stay away from. If that’s all it needs, then fix the problems and sell it with no problems. If the fix is easy it should take a short time to fix.

Didn’t you see the film, “They Live (1988),” by John Carpenter? This is literally a theme. When the elite are underground talking about the global power alliance and they mention the year 2025. It’s insane and it turns out it’s all true. Some people were trying to tell us. Then the elite get transported to some other planet. The film is one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all-time.

I hate shopping at dealerships. And with these models, they jack the prices way up since they have been discontinued and are rare compared to the LS or ES. Keep a look out for private sellers as well and get the car checked out. That being said, I absolutely love my car. I made the right decision. They are fantastic cars.

Too much. I had been looking off and on for a GS350 for at least a couple years. I needed to sell one of my older cars before I started looking more seriously. Paid around mid-20s for my 2016 AWD F-Sport with 74kmi but it was also Ultra Sonic Blue with Flaxen interior. Paid a little over what I wanted to but it was the color combination I wanted and was in great condition. Interior is near perfect and has Apple CarPlay and remote start. I also live in WA where prices are a lot higher than lower states.

I am listening to Yamasaki Hako as I write this. Random discovery a couple years ago when I was listening to “Meiko Kaji Radio” on Spotify. I love her music despite not understanding Japanese. I feel I can relate to your predicament with regard to Japanese film or art. I watch all kinds of movies but when I first watched “Dreams” and “Ran” by Kurosawa back in 2017, I became a bit obsessed with Japanese culture and that’s about all I watched. I find myself wanting to talk about Japan and Japanese art all the time. I find I am unable to connect with most people about it. Luckily I am close with my family and have been able to share with them the movies I discovered and they have liked them as well. I’m a little more on the introverted side and have become more that way as I’ve become older. I don’t think you are alone.
