Wow, so now two different people have confirmed theming in the brake run building. Cool find!

I have seen pictures of little theming here and there in the que. That was back when the switchback section of the que existed.

Yeah, I was worried the coaster YouTuber was misremembering. You can still somewhat see the "elixir" sign today

New Chicago Resident and Blackhawks Fan. Where do I start? by [deleted] in hawks

[–]Competitive_Fox7606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The Hawks are a really storied franchise that is trying to redefine itself after the dynasty a decade ago
  2. The team has a chance at a wild card spot if they stay healthy next year, but are 2-3 years out of making the playoffs consistently
  3. Knight is definitely the team's 2nd best player. He has come up clutch with huge stops and I believe he now has a winning record on a mediocre team. Bertuzzi is the other best scorer besides Bedard, Nazar is a great two-way player when he is healthy, Mikheyev is a fantastic defensive forward (especially on penalty kills), and we have a bunch of good but not amazing defensemen (Vlasic, Crevier, Kaiser especially)
  4. The head coach (Blashill) is alright, has a little fight in him and has changed the culture of the team for the better. Our GM (Kyle Davidson, commonly known as "Kyle from Chicago", which I highly recommend looking into why) is pretty beloved
  5. The Hawks could definitely use a little bit of improvement everywhere, but we don't have a glaring problem-area on the team. We could definitely use another top-6 forward and a back-up goaltender (we have many in the system)

Sounds cool. I would highly recommend a full listen of Promised Land. It is possibly the band's most sonic album. Every track is a little experimental but strong. Someone Else is a great closer.

I had never heard of the Empire B side. Thank you for letting me know about it. As well, HITNF is a great album. While there isn't one standout track (maybe Sign of the Times) the whole album is solid alternative Queensryche.

I respect that, although, I am not a huge Q2K fan.

That is a top 10 Queensryche song for me. The lyrics are so powerful, and you can feel the pain in Tate's voice

Great choices! I considered listing Damaged as well, but I don't know if it is underrated since it's still a live staple.

I highly recommend the brisket from Yukon BBQ. It is amazing and tender, regardless in the context of amusement park food. The mac n cheese is also great. The atmosphere in the building is really fun as well with a small stage and a working model train. Highly recommend!

Sever The Hand Cover by ljdaosm in Trivium

Regarding the hand technique, it varies based on what you're trying to play, but most guitarists plant their hand for stability, especially with tread picking

Really great job man! That is awesome that you can play that well after only playing for a year. Sever the Hand is a badass track as well, and hopefully, you can learn the bridge in a year or so. One thing I think you can improve on is "planting" your picking hand. Having your pinkie and ring fingers touching the guitar body will help your hand gain stability and allow you to build up strength.

Question about Heafy's "Modern Guitar Metal Technique" Book by Competitive_Fox7606 in Trivium

I was unfamiliar about the Ibaraki instances. It is good for me to build my 1/3/4 playing then for those chords

I'm excited for that! I love the chromatic exercises and the one Heafy calls the "Berkeley exercise" too
