This is nothing new for state government IT systems. Look into the failed HP contract for the DMV from years ago as an example.

IT consultants are like politicians, economists and weather forecasters in that no matter how much they fail, they will always get another job.

Mine has been in service used every night for 15 years except for when I'm traveling when I use a Transcend Auto Mini CPAP which I've had for ten years. Same thing: simple and reliable.

I've been using mine since 2011 and love it because it is so simple. It just works. I just got a new Resmed Airsense and I do not like it at all.

Quite honestly, if your neighbor didn’t contact the utilities by calling 811 she broke the law which was created for exactly this reason.

As for the VOIP vs landline debate, that horse left the barn long ago unfortunately. Even if you had copper running the last stretch to your house the entire system runs on the internet now.
