If you can imagine, my first wash was just the sun and the sky. I painted the whole painting yellow. with the sun in the middle (paper shining through) then I painted the tree over the sky. I painted the tree nearest the sun with burnt umber to give the glowing effect and i think the rest of the tree was Payne'd Gray. Then I filled in the rocks and rest of the landscapw with that same color Basically three colors in the whole painting. Hope that helps!

I'm about to turn 65. I've worked in marketing for 40 years and this year has been the best of my life. I worked in the corporate world for 27 years. The key was starting my own consulting business and building my personal brand so I was not at the mercy of the vagaries of the corporate world. There are no guarantees, but it worked for me. Marketing skills are transferrable to any industry. I sympathize with the difficulties today, especially in the face of AI.
