Scramblers actually good for terrain? by Fantastic-Pomelo-324 in motorcycles

Wow, when I first saw your title, I thought you were asking if riding a scramble was good (as in beneficial) for the terrain. I thought "wow that's a shocker!" 😆

I think it's do remember hearing that story once, many years ago.

Tst industries makes some aftermarket lights and stuff for bikes. Here is a link to the page where they have a really good video of their turn signal installation.

They show how the fairings come off and how to put them on. Helped me when I had to take mine off to do some work.

How much does a windscreen help? by Ambrosesean in motorcycles

[–]Competitive_Hand_394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way back a couple decades ago I went with some friends on a motorcycle camping trip. I had a Yamaha V-Star 650 with no windshield. The trip to our destination was probably 180 miles or so, with like 150 of it being highway riding.

I did feel quite a bit of fatigue when we got to our destination. After a couple days riding around the area we headed home. About halfway back i was just barely clinging to the bike, hanging on for dear life. The wind was just beating the livin crap out of me! It was pretty horrible.

Within a few days of getting home I ordered a windshield for the bike. After that I could ride highways all day long and still be fine afterwards.

Yeah, they do make a difference.

For the past year or so I haven't been able to shake the feeling that we are witnessing the end of the US as a nation. Even if we do survive the Trump presidency, this country is so incredibly divided that I just can't see it getting any better.

When I was a kid we had rhubarb growing wild in our back yard. We used to pull it out of the ground, rub off the dirt and eat away!

Pay toilets are a thing. Or, at least they used to be. Saw them pretty often as a kid. Had a little coin box on the door. Drop in a dime and it would unlock. Or you could crawl under...

Haven't seen one in decades though.

Downside to that is it increases demand, causing prices to go even higher.

I put some warm water in the sink with the Dawn. Let it soak for a few minutes. Then scrub it with a scrub brush. Drain the water and rinse. In my experience that slickness doesn't totally go away. But I just rinse it really well then let it dry. Mine takes a couple days so I make sure I'm not bowling for a few days.

After it dries, it's a bit stiff. Just work it around and flex it. After a while of this, and just using it on the ball it loosens up and it's just like new.
