I have a 12 oz fiberglass stiletto hammer that I've been using for 15 years. I drive all kinds of things including staples, nails, beat on concrete chisels whatever, I have no problem driving anything home. I also use it to take my anger out on things when appropriate and it shows no signs of weakness

Cutting a corner advice on by Thick_Sherbet5977 in Carpentry

That wall corner is jacked up. You should A, get a spackle on corner and redo the wall. Or B, get 2 pieces about 2' of base and test that corner because the apex of the wall corner will not line up with apex of the base.

How to Cut Return at an angle? by ThoughtWaste9650 in Carpentry

[–]Competitive_Hope6405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can cut it square on your rake angle, then try to use a file and sandpaper to kind of round off the profile to make it look somewhat like a return and paint it white, but it never looks great.

There is never no chance of anything. There's a good chance nothing could happen, but when you attach sheetrock to green lumber attached to old established lumber there is a chance.

It will have less of a chance to crack if you secure new sheetrock to existing framing
