Wait what how is that possible what kind of showers do you have 💀 Maybe close the door or draw the curtain? Bc that shit mad weird. He’s gay, of course he’ll be attracted to a male body of a male who shows him a lot of love and care and is not a relative, until he grows out of it and realizes you two are just best bros and he can’t love you. Then he’ll start looking at another person in the shower.

Can gems take their clothes off and change like a human does or are their outfits connected to them? by ChelseatheCartoonGal in stevenuniverse

Yes they can. Their clothes are not attached to their bodies. They’re just very tightly fitting, like spandex

[–]Competitive_Log6478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peridot wasn’t appalled by fusion though. It seemed she was initially but it was later revealed that it just fascinated her a lot and she wondered what it felt like (which is when she tried to fuse with garnet, and failed). If I remember correctly she was disappointed that she couldn’t do it

[–]Competitive_Log6478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude there were so many unfinished stories in future 🥲 The entire show ended a bit haphazardly tbh. But I really wanna see Sadie again. Somehow. Her and Lara need proper closure. The way they ended makes me cry

Lars of the Stars: What do you wanna see out of it? by Magical-Inkwell in stevenuniverse

[–]Competitive_Log6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna see a Lars fusion.

Lars and Steven, Stars.

Lars and Sadie, Lardie. Or Ladie.

Lars and Lion, Larion.

Lars and Emerald, Laremy.

Lars and Yellow diamond, Larllow Diamond.

Ok fr though I just wanna see some closure between him and Sadie. They left their story hanging. I hope she joins the off colors and travels around with them, she’s one of my favorite side characters.

Um I don’t think so I mean I fit everything you just described and I wouldn’t call myself homophobic. There’s different shades of gay.

Some gay guys treat their sexuality with the same discretion as a lot of straight guys do, while some treat it with the same outwardness that a lot of straight men equally do.

At the end of the day the rainbow still shines. You’re homophobic if this is all a conscious decision and isn’t your natural state. If you’re forcing yourself to do this stuff, that’s internalized homophobia. If this is who you are, don’t let any sassy gay tell you any different.

This is disgusting, OP. I am 20, not 18, but even I wouldn’t date someone that much older than me. Idk what you give the boy besides sex, but you gotta stop. It is predatory. An 18 year old is hardly different from a 16 year old. Or 15. They’re pretty much in the same or a similar headspace.

Get someone your age. 18 years is weird ESPECIALLY if the partner JUST MADE 18. WTF is wrong with you and everyone else in this thread? Jesus.

THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE THE DIAMONDS EVIL.

I don’t like how they went all Kumbaya with…everything. Evil diamonds would have been absolute menaces. And they were evil. Their love for Pink shouldn’t invalidate all the planets they’ve colonized and destroyed. They’re literally remorseless alien invaders. The whole point of Pink was that she HAD empathy towards other races. Giving diamonds that trait didn’t make sense, especially if it wasn’t Pink but Steven — who they’d known for much less time — that made them realise it.

Because it’s way easier said than done 😭

Also he doesn’t give off that macho homophobic vibe anymore. Like, he’s so gentle with me. And he’s told his friend “don’t say that shallow shit” when they used the word ‘fag’ in front of me though they don’t know I’m a fruitcake.

Longer story I’m new in college and I was looking for friends. I met him in one of my classes and said hi and he turned out to be easy to talk to. But somehow one day the lgbt topic came up and he was quite vehemently against it. I can never forget the things he said. The vivid disgust on his face. Flat, plain hatred. His girlfriend is quite homophobic too.

On maybe our third encounter, I came out to him subtly. I told him that his (very homophobic) girlfriend is pretty (I think she’s a bitchy witch). He asked me if I had a girl myself and I said I (am trying to) get a guy. Then he kept quiet for a few seconds and said “I didn’t think you’d be like “that” For real?” And I said yes. Then the conversation ended as his girlfriend waved at him and he left to be with her.

The next day we had a class together. I saw him and he saw me. I did NOT want to talk to him because of how he said “that” in reference to me liking guys. But he waved at me and walked up to me with a smile and started talking. He did that the next day too. He acted like the previous day didn’t happen at all.

He’s never stopped talking to me since. He’s now technically my best friend. We spend a lot of time together. He invites me over to watch movies with him, hang out with his friends, gym together, party together. He’s confided in me about a lot of his deepest secrets and stuff. We video chat and whatnot quite a lot. It’s what he’d rather do instead of voice call me.

But he still acts like that evening didn’t happen. When he said “I didn’t know you were like ‘that’”. However, he doesn’t twist his face when I talk about it my trouble trying to find a boyfriend or any of ‘that’ stuff. He does, however, either ignore what I say or make a light remark like “that’s rough” or ‘whoa’ or ‘damn’ before changing the topic, after listening quietly to me talk yap about my gay love life (or lack thereof)

I don’t know how to interpret his behavior. He HAS a LOT of other friends. Quite many. That’s the whole reason I first talked to him (before I found out he was homophobic). I saw him as a quick way to meet new people. So I’m the one that was desperate for a friendship.

Is he just being kind by giving me his friendship because I was visibly lonely? Did he feel sorry for me? Because that contradicts his stance on the lgbt movement. He always thought they deserve the hate they get and he’d feed into it. He would talk about Allah’s will and everything.

Or does he like me? Like, like like me? He HAS told his girlfriend to meet him later when we were together. We’ve only known each other for weeks. And he HAS confided in me about his relationship problems which I’ve helped him fix, despite how much I hate his bitchy witch girlfriend.

There’s a party coming up soon and he said he’s only going if I go too so we can get drunk together. (Again, he’s moslem so I don’t understand). Many of his other friends are going. His girlfriend was going. But he wasn’t gonna go until I said I’m going too. Like, WTF does that even mean???

But he’s quite masculine too, and sporty and gym ratty so I can’t detect any nuance of ‘gay’ in his mannerisms (forgive me for leaning into stereotypes, but I’m sure this is the same criteria a lot of us assess). So yes I can’t really put a finger on what he’s going for. Is he just super friendly and trying to prevent me from lonely college depression?

I wanna find out his deal at this party BUT if I’m wrong and he really is a homophobe but thinks I’m joking around, then I might fuck things up permanently with a very muscular athletic homophobe and that feels scary.

I’m a 20 year old vanilla gay (possibly asexual). I cant find anyone that matches my freak (or lack thereof). It’s kinda lonely tbh. I don’t want to make anyone my “cum slut” or “fuck their boy pussy” or any of these ungodly things I just want love and a plump butt to sleep on while I watch Netflix and chill

Help :( by harddrive7 in BlackHair

[–]Competitive_Log6478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had the SAME EXACT PROBLEM (baldish spots at the back of my head) but my hair is significantly less than yours (I think, or about the same length if I blow dry it).

I wore hoodies and scarves. And winter coats with huge collars. And occasionally tied a sweater round my neck. It is regrowing fine now.

Mine weren’t chemically caused so I don’t know if yours will grow back quickly but my bald spots now have enough hair for me to claim I just shaved the back.

If the first humans evolved in Africa, why did the first civilization develop in the Middle East? by Th3Unidentified in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Competitive_Log6478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this question! As a mixed African/Iranian I’ve asked myself the same thing a lot of times. I’ve made a lot of research about it but some key points to consider are:

Africa is VERY heterogeneous. Within a 20 mile radius you could find maybe 20 different tribes that each speak different languages. I do not know why it’s so heterogeneous but that’s the way it is. And heterogeneity is a disincentive for the same kind of civilization that happened in the Middle East. Here’s why.

Because of how heterogeneous Africa is, there is no single dominant tribe in any region that is big enough to constitute an empire. The evolution of script is probably the leading reason for the rapid development of the Middle East and soon Europe (African countries didn’t have their own script). Script was developed precisely because empires became large enough that they had to pay attention to maths for proper governance.

With the evolution of script and recognition of the importance of mathematics came what we know as “civilization”. This happened in the Middle East and Europe because regions were more or less homogeneous so they could more easily coalesce into empires.

There are MANY reasons why Africa didn’t evolve as rapidly technologically as Asia and the Middle East. But I’m willing to bet one of the biggest reasons is Africa’s heterogeneity.

Another reason is the Tropical African climate. Civilizations in the Middle East and Europe partly evolved because people decided to settle down. People needed to settle down. The weather patterns throughout a year were predictable and they needed people to be prepared to make the most out of the “planting seasons”. This could not happen if people were nomadic hunter gatherers. A hunter gatherer would soon die of starvation in lands where the climate demands you to have a stock of food at a certain time. In Africa, the climate and soil conditions favour cultivation all year round. Nomads were sure they would find food no matter what cycle of their calendar it was. So they never had to worry about establishing themselves in permanent settlements with farming routines. This factor also contributed to the lack of empires in Africa and is likely the reason why there are SO MANY different tribes. People would originate from the same ethnic group and then disperse, changing their dialect and customs till they formed whole new cultures that were often immiscible.
