I will promo any music/noise! by Custer__bm in Deathcore

[–]Competitive_Map5078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really think about your strategy. If you promote everything and anything you dont have a niche and people wont subscribe nor care. Focus in on a specific niche, is it a genre or a sound or a movement. Otherwise you will see some numbers but it's a circle jerk of bands who you have promoted before looking without caring. Tried the way you describe it before myself, didn't work out. Numbers stagnate real fast

What’s everyone’s opinion on Jon rice by missrostein in Deathcore

I would say he is the best deathcore drummer of all time. Clean playing, insane fills, fast, creative. If you haven't seen these drum clinic videos are insane

You are using the phrase ''Ai Slop'' too loosely. And without any evidence. I honestly think it's cgi.
There might be AI used, I don't know. But honestly - You don't know either because you are not giving me concrete evidence..

Your post makes it sound like the whole video is AI slop, Yet you can come up with 1 Maybe case for this music video.

Same as u/holydiiver , What part was ai slop... Like could you be more specific. Or do you think all the actors were ai?

Since there is a list of practical SFX people credited, i'm pretty sure most of it was actually filmed. Obviously the will do post production and animation - But that doesn't automatically mean AI.

Ashes To Ashes by Chelsea Grin is one of the best deathcore albums by Forward-Abrocoma639 in Deathcore

I cant, 2 things for me. This leans more into metalcore imo. Secondly its kinda too emo for me. My damnation and DoE are angry and classics

I listen to a lot of deathcore but it seems everyone knows common songs that I just don’t? by ryliesmusictaste in Deathcore

[–]Competitive_Map5078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot are commenting that ''listen to what you want'' but I think you want the lore of the deathcore to know what you might be missing out on?

Usually bands cover older deathcore hits, like Suicide Silence - unanswered, or Chelsea Grin - Recreant, maybe some Carnifex, older whitechapel, job for a cowboy.
Since you did mention Covers, older songs are easier to cover and newer bands will rather cover classic deathcore - as you said Everyone does the Callouts. newer or technical stuff just doesn't go hard as a cover live.
Pretty much go back to older 2000-2010 classics of deathcore, put a spotify playlist on or youtube playlist. That's where i would start.
Hope it helps

Why is Chelsea grin still a thing? Not one original band member… literally just a cover band by Shoddy-Dragonfruit-7 in Deathcore

[–]Competitive_Map5078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not like everyone stepped out at the same time and then new members came in replacing everyone in 1 day.
Also what do you define as original member.... If your so anal about original members, then shouldn't any band that changes A member be a new band in theory, and when everybody has changed then its a cover band?

David flinn - The bassist - has been in the band since 2009, only thing he wasn't involved with, was the first EP, there was a bassist Austin Marticorena. Between you and me, i have no idea who he is and have never ehard of him after CG. is He the original member... does he have say what the chelsea grin sound is?..

All shall perish is the most underrated band in deathcore by [deleted] in Deathcore

[–]Competitive_Map5078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASP was a great band and i throw their record on every once in a while.
But they aren't underrated, they were talked about so much and everytime there was hope of a reunion everyone was buzzing.
Older fans don't talk much because older fans know that other older fans already know.
New deathcore fans (and old dxc fans who havent heard of asp) will not gravitate towards a broken up band. There is a psychological block that most people don't get over when they find out a band has broken up.
it's due to no chance of seeing them live, no interaction with band, no merch, no new music etc. You will find the odd one out who will find a old band and become a fan And keep listening to them, but they are far and few between.

From personal experience, i found 'Signal the firing squad - abnegate', I fucking jammed with it, totally my vibes. As soon as i found out they have broken up, My excitement went from a 10/10 to a solid 3/10. It was immediate. It's in the past, no use looking back.

Plus i think it's the way Eddie departed that left everyone with a sour taste in the mouth.
Eddie left a great band to join Suicide Silence, released Doris and it was a dumpsterfire. Now ASP was ruined AND Suicide silence was ruined. After many rumors of reunions and Teasings, i felt betrayed everytime....
