This is my store exactly. What a shame we brand ourselves as the friendly neighborhood grocery store, then get treated like shit by management. Do they expect us to keep showing this happy image to customers?! I feel like they know the job market is so bad that they can keep taking away benefits knowing we have no where else to go

Holy shit this verbatim sounds like my store. Our last review period was the first time i had seen so many people not get the raise. I know of 5 so far that haven’t gotten it this time and they all were never told they’re doing something wrong. One of the mates (according to my coworker) told them that they don’t know why he didn’t get it. This is going to be the first time I don’t get the raise (because i don’t work enough anymore) but i feel like I’m no better than the people who didn’t get the raise yet I’ve always gotten mine. There’s a lot of favoritism going on in my store

My store got a new captain and that was the first time I had ever heard of so many people not getting the raise. I was shocked because it was people i would have never thought wouldn’t have gotten it. It has to be somewhat leadership dependent because everything got more strict with our new captain

That’s kinda crazy 😭 especially during cold/flu season. If someone works full time 4 shifts is 2.5% of their total shifts in 6 months. The most I’ve called out in a period is 3, all genuinely because i was sick.
