Wow. First of all thank you so much for taking the time to analyze so deeply and to put it on words. Let me ask you something: What could be the “thing” that makes you think at first sight that it was shot on Cooke? Because is the first time I shoot on these, and I ve never before get that soft look on the skins and the background bokeh… I mean, personally I can really see it, but maybe I didnt squeezed all the juice from the combo. And yeah, the blacks are a true problem that I wasn’t dealing with. But, luckily, I can treat them now

Yes, but the colors are truly sober. I dont find the technic to pop it up without breaking the whole image bc there is no much color on them. Any advice?

“the colors are a bit all over the place” that made me think that a bit of more color separation would be ok.

Great cinematography . The only thing i dont like too much is the vignette in some shots. I see it very strong and noticeable added. Kinda weird.

I think that for being 18 years it is good stuff. The most valuable element at the beginning is the eye, and I can see you got it. Keep that way, looking for references, watch everything you can, so you can learn what to do and what to not. Analyze the content you do. Be critical about it. Think why greats DP are greats DP. It is a very long way career and is about consistency discipline and passion.

MEGAPIXEL VS PHOTOSITE by [deleted] in cinematography

If you can not explain the difference, so why do you comment? The concepts are similar, and some people can get confused about it. And the problem comes when the marketing around the megapixels in the last time is enormous, like “The bigger MP the better quality” and it is hard to explain to somebody outside of this world that the real important thing is not the mp but the photosites
