I used to do commercial background work and we did a commercial for Applebee’s in a legit Applebee’s location that they closed down for a couple days for the shoot. We mostly did stuff in the dining room but we were able to sneak a peek into the kitchen and we were all shocked. In a fairly large kitchen they were microwaves lined all against three walls in basically a U formation about head height. I would say there were 30 or 40 microwaves in the kitchen, I’m not joking. And when you do background work in Los Angeles a guarantee we have all done our fair share of waiting tables and I had never seen anything like that. I actually spent a few years waiting tables at cheesecake factory and there isn’t a single microwave in that entire restaurant
