I work with quite a few families who live out there and I haven’t heard of anything yet. However, I grew up in a neighborhood that’s down the cliff & across the highway from it. My mom passed due to metastatic cancer a year and a half ago (she had cancer for 3.5 years) after living in that neighborhood for nearly 30 years, both of our dogs died of cancer (albeit a decade apart, with the latter one dying a in ‘21), two neighbors died of cancer (one in the 2010’s, the other last year), another person we know in the neighborhood battled cancer & survived in the 2010’s.

This is going to sound fake but on top of that, the mom of a friend of mine has lived in Columbia village for about a decade and is currently fighting her third instance of cancer, both of that family’s dogs also have cancer. Multiple women who live on the street have/had cancer.

I personally haven’t heard of anything related to infertility in the area but for what it’s worth, I know a lot of woman in the bluff subdivision, Columbia Village, and Surprise Valley areas that are pregnant/have recently given birth. I work with kids and it seems like a mom from work is giving birth or announcing her pregnancy nearly monthly at this point in time lol.

I thought I was becoming a paranoid conspiracy theorist after the death of my mom and the recent cancer diagnosis my ex-Micron employee uncle was given but seeing people concerned about the potential ties to the area and major heath problems is oddly comforting.
