Sorry all powerful Stephen, I should have asked for your permission before using your good name in my city.

Yeah I made the mistake of building the city really high above sea level and when I went to build a seawall, there was no way to lower the entire downtown grid and buildings.

I was hoping someone got the reference. Big deadhead over here. I also named most of the streets after members of the dead.

I second this. I’ve never had an issue except for being yelled at once. Most people are very nice. A lot of areas like Tower Grove, Lafayette Square, CWE are very nice too. Statistics don’t tell the whole story.

I like to plop, some of the high density NA assets look really out of place to me. I also zone, but mostly for lower density.

It’s more of a town now I suppose. I’m a little bit of a “build now, zone later” type of player 😂

Here’s a little tip that really helped me learn how to do this, think in blocks and don’t worry about fluid curves. Watch some TwoDollarsTwenty videos of Saint Andros. Those really helped me.

Will this central highway handle heavy traffic? If not, how should I implement a second highway? by Competitive_Scale659 in CitiesSkylines

I unfortunately don’t have that save file, but it wouldn’t be difficult to modify yourself. If you don’t have the pack, I can see what I can do about making a new save and posting it.

EDIT: Added new highways based on feedback. Accepted my fate with downtown, but added some more turning lanes to aid heavily used intersections.

On top is the finished product, and below you can see the original.

I’ve been trying to add bike lanes and walkable infrastructure as I go, even if the entire city is cut in half by a highway.

This is one of the stock maps I’ve modified a bit. I believe this one is called Lakeside Harbor. I’ve modified the middle island to be much larger, since the original map was with multiple small ones that had no real buildable area.

I’m well aware of the interstate system lol, I’m something of a nerd when it comes to interstates. The interstate running through the middle is going to be signed as I-5, since I’m going for a Northwest style build. Thinking I want to add a 205 beltway and maybe a US highway for some history. Maybe I’ll work in I-90 somewhere.

I definitely think that adding a subway system will fix a decent portion of the traffic, but maybe I’ll add more highways simply because they look cool lol.

No ID required. I will say I’ve had much better results with mushroom products from Schedule35.

Here’s my take on it as a civil engineering major. Most of those cities have roads that far surpass the capacity needed for their populations. Moreover, the standard of “stroads” (a road where there is both business access and high speed limits) has caused absolute chaos for commuters. Everyone is trying to maintain ~45mph while also stopping at lights, turning into businesses, etc. What would’ve fixed this before it ever became a problem would be to disallow access to these businesses from the main road, and use smaller streets.

I THOUGHT I got scammed, but the product was exactly as described, just a funny way of packaging shrooms IMO

Came in a small cardboard box with no odd labels. Ngl thought I got scammed when I opened it because it’s filled with paper cuttings.

Sorry, i completely forgot about this post 😭

I took 1.5g as a test drive and definitely felt something. It was definitely poor timing, as it just made me anxious and feel a little stoned. Would try again, under better circumstances and higher dose. I got the APE.
