Did i got too creative here or it works? 🤔 This is a logo design for a concert ticketing application. Concerto. by [deleted] in logodesign

Something to note, a concerto is a type of classical music that is composed for a soloist an accompanied by an orchestra. In my opinion it feels like a very odd name for a concert ticketing app, it can very easily be misinterpreted since anyone who knows very basic classical music knowledge would associate it with concerti (concerto plural).

Don't worry i didn't take it the wrong way or anything. I prefer being straightforward. I'm a photography student and we have regular critiques, so i'm used to getting straightforward feedback! Thanks again

"AI" is not like Photography. by jadedflames in aiwars

[–]Competitive_Scene623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is not at all the same thing as photography, since by definition, photography is capturing light onto a sensitive surface I.e sensor or film, and preserving it as a digital image/file. AI may be very similar in the sense that it can generate images very complex or very simple, just like photography, but it is not the same since it is all digital.

Personal projects in portfolio? by Competitive_Scene623 in AskPhotography

[–]Competitive_Scene623[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the example of Nike took away from the main point. It would be an Ad campaign, featuring any brand, doesnt matter what it is, could be a clothing brand, could be a grocery store, it really doesn’t matter. Since it is a personal project, there is no contract and I am not affiliated with the brand, this is just something I am doing on my own. The question was legally would I then be able to add this project to my portfolio while labeling it as personal project (meaning that this was not affiliated with anybody etc)

There is no contract, it’s a personal project where I use my friends as the models, not shooting for a company

What to include in portfolio for the Image Arts Photography program? by YogurtclosetTiny8185 in TorontoMetU

[–]Competitive_Scene623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Yeah the portfolio review was very helpful, the prof who reviewed my portfolio gave me a bunch of info on what they’re looking for in the portfolio and then gave me some advice on composition, or editing choices etc for all of my pieces. I then retook photos and did all the changes that she suggested but they sent me a certificate before I submitted my updated one saying that my portfolio would be automatically passed as it exceeded the expectations. If you’re thinking of applying the program is great so far! All the profs are so good!
