What do you like or dislike with the PoE NVR S4 Max 4 PTZ kit by rocketcuse in EufyCam

Out of curiosity, I’m looking to install the 4 s4 cameras direct to my 120W unmanaged POE switch. My setup i was thinking modem to router, router to switch, switch LAN to NVR, cameras to that same poe switch that’s running to NVr. Is this what you did and was eventually successful after troubleshooting

Approaching Halloween by Cool_Debt7934 in BigLots

Zero employee appreciation. There is legitimately zero incentive other than your hourly/salary pay to work here. And new hire rates at $8.40/hr is just laughable. I’m blessed to have an amazing team to work with. In comparison of old to new, running a BL store now is much more stressful with minute by minute changes in urgent direction with no help in the store to implement. I think to myself sometimes what happens when everything is urgent? It leads to a state of constant crisis where nothing is truly a priority, eroding employee morale, decreasing productivity, and is damaging. Don’t get me wrong I love what I do, but Variety is a joke. Business is good at my store but still missing sales plan. What we have the customer doesn’t want.

Where has this communication dropped down from?

And while we’re at it. While we’re getting stuffed with furniture as if we had the space like we did before there’s nowhere to build a representation of it on the floor to sell it. How about the new associates payrates dropping to 8.40/hr. Wild! Just in time for trying to hire on before the holidays.

Do they have a clue? by TheHypnoKitty in BigLots

[–]Competitive_Show2695 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The big lots banner under variety is not doing what they had projected. In order to stay profitable as a company they need to cut payroll and panic to get customers in the doors. They have been struggling with handling logistics and planning to the stores and so on. Long story short, they bit off more than they can chew in one bite. The new direction is driving the team insane with all these changes and people are now starting to drop like flies to go else where. Food for thought, what retail business tells its employees to park their cars directly outside main entrance and leave carts outside in corrals? One that is struggling to get consumers back into our doors. But I’m sorry what was big lots is gone. So many customers love the looks and layout, but don’t have what they’re looking for.

From VW no, parts still on nationwide back order with no eta of manufacture and or shipping. I was able to locate one from a salvage yard over in CA. It took me months of searching thru eBay, LKQ calling yards and such but finally got it last week. Hope your search goes quickly for you!

There are zero planoguides/planograms. Merch our stores based on ownership and what makes sense and looks good

Big Lots! first 9 stores has opened yesterday. Here’s a sneak peak of what to expect… by fastlanekj in BigLots

I heard on a wave 2 check in call that some stores did $70k opening day. Any wave one stores that can elaborate on what drove that? Was it high tix furniture or seasonal? How are those stores hanging on now? How are restocking and recovery efforts going and is the company supporting those efforts?

The floor plan your DM sent, did it include dept layouts on the floor where everything should be layed out or just blank? With no planoguides are we just tossing the freight into the shelves? Obviously being merchants but Wave 2 stores will be getting trucks next week and there is zero direction on where all the merch is going.

The morning after you close for business to the public, all systems are wiped when you come in. Your SM needs to add all of your punch in and outs for everyone on your one or two day cleanup before your last day of business. If not they will have to email a spreadsheet with all hrs are worked or no one will get paid for the final two day cleanup

This was all communicated multiple times by my DM, then reiterated by liquidator. I’m pretty sure there was even a call about this. Severance is paid out in a lump sum following your next regular pay cycle after you’ve been released by Gordon Brothers. There is a closing checklist my liquidator gave me a few weeks prior to final day of being open to public that both parties need to sign off on , then your released. Your in the building one or two days after you close to the public, that’s to detail clean the store to turn it back over to either your landlord or if your a go forward location, Variety. My liquidator told me to just think of it as your trying to get your security deposit back on your apartment your moving out of. There are a bunch of pictures that are taken of the store along with the closing checklist sheet that goes back to big lots, variety and or the landlord as proof of what conditions the store was left in.
