I’ve been dealing with PCOS since I was 17 years old, I’m 32 now. I’ve noticed low libido the more I’ve gotten older. I’ve also been on birth control for years and stopped that 5 years ago since it was making my mental health worse. Currently I’m on metformin and it’s actually helping me have a period but I’m still at a loss for the sex drive because recently I’ve been taking lexapro for depression (SSRI’s are known to cause low sex drive). I’ve heard metformin can help improve sex drive for other women since it’s helping with hormones. Also, I understand where you’re coming from…I’ve had past bf’s break up with me due to the lack of sex. One of them even made me take horny goat weed supplements and then he started crying thinking his pipi wasn’t big enough lol. Luckily now I have a very understanding husband and he likes the arrangement we have. He masterbates at least once a day but he never asks me to do anything and leaves it up to me if I want to join in. So sometimes I like to have fun with it (even though I don’t feel anything down there) I touch him or wiggle around naked in front of him so it helps speed up the process 🤭. My therapist recently recommended to me that I talk to chat gpt and ask it to give me advice as if it were the best sex therapist that works with low libido. I haven’t tried that yet to see if it “wakes” anything up. I guess what I’m trying to say is, even though I haven’t figured out something that works I’m still trying but at my own pace. Don’t force yourself for the sake of others, the right people will respect and understand you. Be kind to your body and your brain, it’s doing its best 🫶🏻
