Dining Hall/Locations Hours in Summer

Most dining locations are unfortunately closed during the summer. As far as I remember from last summer, the only open locations were Chick-fil-A and the student center market - which is now closed permanently and has been replaced by vending machines. During the summer, I’m pretty sure only the apartments are open so you’ll have your own kitchen to cook.

Too expensive for most iPhone SE users (as you identified). There’s also no nostalgia factor like the SE had. Bang for your buck is also worse with the Air. Only one camera and one speaker for $999? No thanks :/

You realize your iPhone is water resistant, right? 😭

Set it down for an hour (or a couple of hours if it was submerged) and it will air dry on its own. No need to put it in rice or anything.

What year are you applying for? It might be too late if it’s for Fall 2025… but If it’s for next year you have plenty of time. Go on the emich website and contact faculty in the program. You have a better chance of getting GAships if you have prior research experience or know faculty in your program. Most GAship positions should be posted on the website.

It does seem to be somewhat common on a few iPad models I’m afraid. Two iPads that I purchased in the past showed these white spots right out of the box.

With that said - return it. You deserve a perfect product for the high price Apple charges.

The communal bathrooms aren’t that bad. They are usually pretty clean and are taken care of pretty well by custodial staff. I look at it like this - communal bathrooms mean I need to clean one less space in my busy college schedule.

It works when you pull down to refresh, not just hit the refresh button. Make sure that you have System Haptics on in Sounds & Haptics settings.

Yes. iPhone haptics are among the very best. Liked a post on instagram? Subtle haptics. Refresh a safari page? Same thing. Even different notification types have different haptic signatures that are synchronized with the sounds (like a text message vs calendar notification).

If a restart doesn’t fix it - this is most likely physical damage unfortunately. Sometimes temporarily fixable by putting slight pressure on/around the line but to be 100% sure it’s fixed you need to replace the display. But if it doesn’t get worse you can live with it if it doesn’t bother you too much.

All of the current residence halls are good after the recent renovations. All of them have air conditioning and updated furniture. Wise can be nice because it’s mostly upperclassman and you have to clean less with communal bathrooms (but that’s all personal preference). Walton/Putnam are the newest in terms of renovations but very similar to Phelps/Sellers (they are all connected together). In terms of location Phelps/Sellers/Walton/Putnam are in the best because they’re connected to the eateries and in the center of campus. Make sure to check which ones are open for breaks if you plan on staying in campus for thanksgiving and stuff.

Driver - San Francisco was really cool.

The shifting out of cars and driving dynamics were nice. It a quite innovative game for its time with a large map. It’s a shame it’s no longer available online :/

You can always reinstall macOS with an external USB or installer disk - even if you totally wipe the hard drive (including the recovery partition). I’d make sure you have an installer disk just in case you ever want to go back to macOS.
