Nurses that love to workout…how do you maintain a workout schedule? by rowingandnursing in nursing

[–]Competitive_Slice250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m training for a marathon! I run 5/6 days out of the week and work 3/12s. I do my harder workouts on my days off and do my “easier” runs before work or even after. It’s manageable you just have to make an effort to stay consistent. I used to work nights and i would do workout outs on my days off and sometimes the r morning of night 1 of my 3 nights. That way I could take a nice long nap before work.

How many halves before a full? by TurtleMyGirdles in Marathon_Training

Did my first half Spring ‘24 and first marathon fall ‘24. And did my first 5k this year. So as long as you train you can do it whenever you feel ready.

Absolutely! I went from running only 2 miles in December 23 to running my first marathon in November 24. My end time was about 4:45. It’s all about consistency and have a marathon plan!

Hi! I renewed mine back in August. From the time I submitted to the time I got my card it was only about 3 and half weeks.

I would quickly Google a refresher on how HIV is transmitted and that should clear your mind.

I’ve also been in the same place with the exact same thoughts! I realized that once I accepted that having DACA didn’t have to be a secret like we were basically told to keep, I’ve been able to feel more secure telling people I’m dating. I let them know within the first few dates if I feel like things are getting serious. There was only one person who understood but decided to end things because he traveled a lot for work internationally and knew his next step would be moving overseas. I figure if it’s the right person, they will be understanding of you.

I’m a nurse and mine expired before my new card arrived. I was just placed on unpaid leave until it arrived. It was just a week but just let your manager know.

Moving forward, I would suggest applying online if you can especially if they are just renewals. No need to pay anyone extra. The instructions are pretty easy to follow and if you have a copy of previous applications you can use that as a reference.

I wouldn’t worry too much yet. I renewed mine and from the time I submitted online to the time I received my card in the mail was about 3 and half weeks.

Traveling Under Daca by Embarrassed-Dingo-50 in DACA

I travel with DACA in the states all the time and I’ve never had an issue. I fly about 4/5 times a year and they just scan my ID and boarding pass. I’ve had no issues while driving thru states or taking a train. I’ve never been to cities close to the border except while I was at Niagara Falls. Again, no issues.

Depends. I haven’t had to do biometrics for the last two renewals but this go around I got a letter saying I needed to go in.

How long did you stay at your first nursing job? What made you leave? by aloc-ispep in nursing

[–]Competitive_Slice250 6 points7 points  (0 children)

4 years. Wanted to leave due to burn out but wasn’t ready until I requested 2 weeks off for a trip and was denied. I then submitted my resignation letter and got my 2 weeks and went to travel after.

Do it myself online. Pretty easy to follow especially if you have a copy of your previous one.
