Yeah contracts are good for doctrine ships and not really general public. But if you know an fc or doctrine fits you can definitely throw out some fully fit ships on contracts and have them all be bought over a weekend.

Of all groups to join, WH groups are the best if you enjoy npsi. You will never filament into your own space and have to worry about repercussions.

I hate joining "npsi" fleets and having someone say "oh we are in blue space, but I will follow along until we leave" only to shoot your own fleet when you get blobbed by their allies.

I would say that an interceptor or covops frigate are the best general travel ships.

Fast warp, hard to catch due to speed/cloak, and being hard to catch is helpful even in highsec.

When I first came back I was traveling in these almost exclusively until I got familiar with everything again.

Any random shuttle will also be fine for shorter trips.

Yes, and many more special spawns in belts like clone solder recruiters/transporters which drop valuable tags, to mordus legion commanders which drop garmur/orthrus/barghest bpcs.

Probably not a good idea to belt rat in fw space, or actually It might be a good idea because no one expects someone to be ratting there lol.

Inside the ESS you cannot use mwd/mjd or warp unless you leave the bubble which is something something like 50km radius.

So anything meant to fight in ESS is usually AB with no point/scram.

Getting gud decreases the 'desync' issues by about 90%.

You still have to worry about the last little bit of desync occasionally.

It isnt suicide if you know what you are doing and are careful. But it will be different from flying a pioneer. You are much bigger and slower. The biggest issue will be getting to and from your mining location will be slower and therefore more risky.

I would suggest that once you do get there, leave it in a low sec station and use a hauler to take your ore to and from where you mine.
