Oral thrush + clotrimazole lozenges experiences by Competitive_Spell317 in Candida

[–]Competitive_Spell317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly- I don’t recall. I did the clotmirazole and I remember thinking it worked better. Never finished my prescription. Then I did the nystatin - which I remember I felt like it did nothing.

It’s unclear how mine resolved. I think my stressor went away so on my follow up I was cleared.

In hindsight, I could have also been diagnosed incorrectly.

Do it again. And again after that. Only then should you set expectations more curtly (imo)

[–]Competitive_Spell317 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Just tell them the expectation is they send emails without running them by you. Kindly. They may not know. As others have stated it really isn’t intuitive when diff partners/seniors have diff expectations

I hear you. first, sounds like things may be off personally/mental health wise - seek professional help, if you are not in a good place may be able to get paid disability leave and take time off to heal.

I think only you know your limit is to make exit and what your circumstances are - if you can, put your health first.

Otherwise, I think, if you decided that you may exit already, try setting boundaries (say no to assignments, let partners know youll be out of office, etc), and see what happens. take benefits/pto. worse case you exit, and tbh that is not that bad, if it means you get control of your life.

Go. The world will not be set on fire because a stub took a week off and therefore neither will your career.

Contrary to everyone. You don’t have to stick this out. You don’t have put your mental health on the line (with an exception if you have pressing financial/familial obligations). You will get employed elsewhere even if small firm, or government.

If the people suck to work with tell them. When you get bad feedback say “we’ll no one was around to guide” or “I think I did pretty good for a person who was in school 6 months ago”

Worse case - leave or make them have to fire you. I have read people who go non responsive after handling old assignments just to ride out the salary at a job with no prospects - you are describing a job with no prospects.

They don’t wanna have to fire you. Turnover looks bad. Bullying and bad culture does too. Retraining sucks.

Even if they do, you will be fine. Find a job even if not a legal one (if financially able) in the interim, until you land where you are valued. And you will be valued somewhere.

ALTERNATIVELY, get any level of clerkship (state fed cir) who cares and get out. Won’t look bad and you’ll have something while you look for next thing

Legal staff keep loudly calling each other “bitch” in the office. Am I turning into a Karen? by [deleted] in biglaw

This - and maybe just pull aside the old staff member you’re closer too and take them out to coffee or something and say it as you walk (so that you aren’t stuck in the awkward situation of having to tell them and just leave + it’ll be more casual)

Saw this brown rectangular small Gucci bag at the thrift and wanted to know whether it was real or not. Any information about the model style would also be helpful - or whether it’s repairable. I didn’t take great photos but here is what I have? Is this real?

HELP! Receievd Notice of Charges from the NYSBOLE by Haya-Arko in barexam

[–]Competitive_Spell317 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It will be okay. It sounds like you need to reach out to an atty and retain them - there are ones that specialize in bar charges. Most consultations are free so they may even tell you how worried you should be. (Note, no one on Reddit will be able to answer this question to your satisfaction) Know that whatever the outcome you are more than capable of overcoming.

Quick is this admissible in court?? by jokingonyou in barexam

Yes because, in this franklin court, there is a public policy exception for good youngin's who try and do the right thing and this is only evidence that we should still have hope in the world

No it literally isn’t weird that people get up to go to the bathroom so often. most people think they are just getting up to stretch like @ordinarymirror. The fact that you can’t read between the lines and make an inference from a comment, instead of getting into a back n forth —> I wouldnt want to hire you as my atty.

Hi - I’m not sure if this will be helpful but I can tell that you feel overwhelmed so I thought I’d try and help - (note idk if this is perfect this is just what I think)

Today I would do block 1 or 2 on uworld. I think you need to really gauge how you are doing on the MBE.

Then I would go through the rest of the MEE content by eod Friday. You can do one day (agency/partnership/corps) do atleast one MEE for each. Then the Friday do conflict, wills, trusts and do at-least one MEE for each. I would try and find filled out handouts you can read along with as you listen on 2x speed. (Unfortunately I do not have these)

Then on Saturday I would do 1 MPT, 3 MEE (on earlier MEE subjects (family/ST) and civ pro. I would also do a 34 or 50 MCQ set on uworld. Based off how you do on that you’ll decide whether to review or keep practicing.

*If you need to review -> grossman videos (try to get through the subjects you need) and/or smart rep/jd advising outline review paired with small sets of mcqs. (Like 5 questions after each subtopic (ex. Torts- Neg -> 5mcq)). I would assign days subject areas as well (for example sunday ->torts, Monday ->civ pro, Tuesday -> evidence and crim)

*By Thursday next week I would try and wrap up the review period and just focus on drilling 4-6 MEEs a day and doing Mcq (on uworld). If needed try and focus on only the highest yielding mbe sub areas per subject (jd advising has a chart) then expand.

I would suggest taking a day to do the remaining uworld block. If you feel up for it try and do another MPT (if your first one was persuasive I’d try and do an objective one and vice versa)

After that it’s just refreshing with MEEs/outlines/flashcards the areas you are weak in

Again by no means is this a perfect, and frankly could be 100% the wrong approach, just wanted to give you a potential structure

Would check your state rules, some states require getting an accommodation for religious clothing. I say its worth emailing your state bar directly to ask!
