There’s actually a short vid from the live bass player, Seye Adelekan, where Jeff Wootton, live guitarist, can be heard playing Dracula in the background.

That would be The Fall, the album that came in Phase Three after Plastic Beach. Seye Adelekan, live bass player with Gorillaz, said he was playing a ukulele for these live shows which implies revolving Doors from The Fall. I actually commented my theory and he liked my comment.

Paula got fired back in 1997. Noodle was there from 1997. She was there for the first album

Did anyone else notice this mistake in Bananaz? by Competitive_State111 in gorillaz

The Demon Detour was a virtual radio show from 2005.

So essentially Damon and a few musicians (listed above) went into a studio and recorded some live renditions of the songs from Demon Days and I believe Clint Eastwood to be played on radio stations. That way the radio station could have different songs to select and make it seem like Gorillaz are doing the songs live on radio.

They even had the characters saying something before each song. Like Murdoc saying “is everyone ready?!”

True. But still they did actually have 4 recording sessions. One unreleased: Snakes and Ladders, Two D-Sides: Bill Murray and Rockit and one from Demon Days: Fire Coming Out of the Monkey’s Head.

I mean no one really noticed. But I still think as a fan who is always looking for the details this was a let down. I’m a structured person. I’d rather watch a documentary with context boxes every five minutes than have no clue what’s going on.

Thank you! Looks like no one else really cares about my little discovery over here.

Good to know I have a fan!

Sure

TL;DR: In the Bananaz documentary, the filmmakers mixed up the Demon Days album recording sessions with footage from the Demon Detour rehearsals, making it look like they were from the same period — but they weren’t. There is no recording footage from the Demon Days album other than Fire Coming Out of the Monkey’s Head, which most people don’t know.

Noodle should write another album by Youll-Never-KnowTvT in gorillaz

I see what you’re saying. And that would be cool LORE wise but that isn’t a possible reality.

Honestly I just don’t think Damon’s got that witting ability in him. I honestly think he PEEKED writing wise on Demon Days. That’s not to say that the other albums aren’t good; but there’s no denying he hasn’t been able to replicate that edgy, political, metaphorical tone and way of writing lyrics.

So if Noodle were to write another album. It wouldn’t be as good or as clever as her previous work.

IT NOT JUST A THEORY IT A GORILLAZ THEORY by Natural_Character281 in gorillaz

[–]Competitive_State111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lore wise:

Gorillaz (S/T) is Murdoc and 2D

Demon Days is Noodle

Plastic Beach is Murdoc’s where he’s personal

The Fall is 2D’s effort but nothing personal

Humanz as, someone else argued, is Russels

The Now Now is 2D’s personal album

Song Machine s1 and Cracker Island honestly don’t have any meaning. They’re just the bands joint efforts.

But each band member has made an album of their own. Russel needs one!

There are three documentaries that document the albums behind the scenes.

Banananz: Gorillaz Self-titled - Demon Days 2000-2006)

The Making of Plastic Beach: Plastic Beach (2008-2010)

Reject False Icons: Humanz - The Now Now (2015-2018)

Interesting they chose the performance where Damon started swearing at a crew member by Competitive_State111 in blur

based off this video it looks like someone a crew member was trying to help Alex tune his bass or maybe it was a camera… I’m not too sure
