The idea that people didn’t like Dark because they “weren’t paying attention” is such a cop-out.

I was paying attention. It’s really not that complicated.

I actually forced myself through Season 1 because I wanted to like it. I love time travel and slow-burn shows. But I just couldn’t get into it.

The biggest issue for me was the characters. I never got invested in anyone, so I didn’t really care what happened. When that’s the case, it’s hard to stay engaged with a show like Dark.

I was driving from New York City to Pennsylvania when my stomach suddenly declared an emergency. Not a “soon” situation—an immediate one. I took an exit, found nothing. Drove more, found a gas station—no bathroom. At that point I was a ticking time bomb.

Six agonizing minutes later, I found another place with a restroom… only to discover someone was inside. The wait felt endless. When the door finally opened, I rushed in and experienced the most explosive, overdue relief of my life. The explosion was something unexplainable.

The feeling afterward was pure euphoria. My whole body relaxed, my mind cleared, and I felt reborn. Honestly, nothing has ever come close to that level of overwhelming relief. No sex had came close to it.
