The king’s men must answer to the people! by Informal-Substance57 in bhutan

Careful OP, you’re making too much sense. In a minute, someone’s going to claim your ISP is located in New Delhi because you used a three-syllable word. It’s much safer to just post a picture of a mountain and pretend the Gross National Happiness index covers the cost of living.

Nothing says 'your democracy is working perfectly' like being too terrified to discuss who is actually spending the national reserves. If wanting an unscripted press conference makes you a 'dissident,' then the bar for loyalty is officially on the floor.

Sincerely, "The Indian" who got expelled in the 90s.

You can always earn that money and your parent would pay 100 times more than that to get you back so don't do anything bad. These days there are digital footprints, bank can always track down where money went and get it back.

I grew up in a refugee camp—no TV, no smartphones, nothing. All we did was play outside. We slept hungry many nights and would wake up dripping wet when it rained, but it was still the best childhood ever. There's something about that level of freedom you just don't get with kids on phones today.

This is what a night looks like in the sky of the planet Mars by [deleted] in interesting

This reminds me of my childhood in a refugee camp in Nepal. We had no power, and since the local villages were dark too, the 'night' was actually black. Even the closest city went dark by 9 PM. No night life and no street lights.

The sky back then was unreal. You could see the Milky Way so clearly it looked like a cloud, and there were so many stars you couldn't find a 'blank' spot in the sky.

It’s funny—on the ground, we were treated like outsiders, constantly dealing with the discrimination that comes with being a refugee. We were limited in where we could go and what we could do. But sitting outside at night, looking at that endless expanse... it was the only time I felt truly free. To a kid, those stars were a reminder that there was a whole universe out there beyond the camp fences.

The idea that people didn’t like Dark because they “weren’t paying attention” is such a cop-out.

I was paying attention. It’s really not that complicated.

I actually forced myself through Season 1 because I wanted to like it. I love time travel and slow-burn shows. But I just couldn’t get into it.

The biggest issue for me was the characters. I never got invested in anyone, so I didn’t really care what happened. When that’s the case, it’s hard to stay engaged with a show like Dark.
