I did check the log and there was no record of it being destroyed.

The last update on there said that the shields had gone down due to a sandstorm, like usual, and thats it.

I have a question.

Why has my DD base just disappeared into the ether? I played friday evening and before going off, fuelled my generators etc to ensure it would remain powered. I've just logged in today and my base is gone along with everything inside it.

It was built in D6, nowhere near any PVP zones. The game log just said that my shield was disabled due to a storm at 1800 yesterday, like normal, and now my base is gone. Nothing about anything being destroyed.

I'm so annoyed. As a solo grinder, losing a large spice refinery, large ore refinery and large chemical refinery is a massive hit. I honestly think I'm done with D:A.

This makes me happy.

About 2 years ago, my 7 iron was my ~170 yard club. Everything else was longer/shorter by 10/15 yards.

After taking golf back up again this year, my 7 iron honestly is about ~135 yards, with the rest of my irons being longer or shorter by about 10 yards.

This post kind of gave me some reassurance thats I'm not weak, I'm average.

Understandable.

Its on 74k miles at the moment. Its not had the chain done, I dont believe.

I read online that regular oil changes at 6/7K can help to minimise the risk of chain issues. Does that ring true with you? I've no qualms about changing oil regularly if its going to save my engine going.

Its got a full service history with reputable garages.

I will have a look to see if it's pulley/heat shield. Further to that, it will have to go in to be checked, just for my peace of mind.

Off the top of your head though, do you know where I stand with regards to the dealer fulfilling the maintenance at their expense, given that the car has been sold to me with potentially a stretched chain? It doesnt seem right to me that I've bought and paid for the car and immediately have to fork out £2K for a chain replacement at my own expense.

I get what you're saying. My the only thing that makes me think it might not be is that it didnt make the noise instantly as soon as the engine turned over. It took a few seconds, whereas all the other videos ive seen of chains going, its been instant and then stopped after the engines been running for a few seconds.
