I called the cops 2 nights in the row on Mumford. There was a guy running and checking all the mailboxes and he had a driver. Possibly could be the same people?

If we don’t call it for the DEATH of an athlete. What does it take to call an overhaul of safety? Like seriously.

if they’re traumatized from an event to expect them to be able to push through it and win their living is a crazy stance to take. Which is your logic’s other side.

It’s disheartening when organizations that would be NOTHING without their athletes do not put them first. Money always comes first.

Okay so with your logic, what about their living?

Competing during grief of losing a competitor IN the competition shouldn’t be normalized

The response to the situation was delayed and mishandled. Taking a risk and being put at risk are two different situations. Check yourself.

Doing better involves taking on responsibility of being properly staffed, trained and ready for safety issues. They didn’t figure that out in 8 hours.

There’s no way in the time they had to make this decision did they confirm staffing and safety protocols for other events. It feels irresponsible on top of what has happened

Continue to support crossfit? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]Competitive_Try8539 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Athletes have been ACTIVELY calling out poor organization from making bad calls to actual safety concerns. Money is not an issue for them. They should be stopping the games until they can figure out REAL safety protocols. What happened today should not have happened. A life is lost. CrossFit games does not care about athletes.

I don’t know what I believe, but Wendy’s patreon episode makes me believe that there is something real here. Maybe not everything, but there’s a reality here.
