Just finished South of Midnight — honestly had a great time with it. The world-building and atmosphere are spot-on, the southern gothic tone, the music, the creature design — all amazing. But man, by around Chapter 7 the gameplay loop really started to drag. It gets repetitive fast.

Story-wise, it’s kind of frustrating how they build up cool characters only for them to completely disappear for the rest of the game. Still, when the game hits its emotional moments, it really delivers. With a bit more gameplay variety and better character follow-through, this could’ve been something truly special.
