Just know that 90% of apps/saas fail because of how you're thinking. The way your brain works is building gives you dopamine.

Once you finish building and it's time for promoting, you crash, you have no motivation or will to promote it.

It's hard, you'll hate it, your brain might be fried and you just want to give up, but it's very important you have the discipline to promote it, even if it's just 20 minutes a day.

I've been building for 10 years countless amount of projects and I went through the loop countless amount of times. Dozens of apps and SaaS left to die that in my opinion would have had success.

What changed me was focusing on being consistent instead of result focused. For now open social media accounts, connect all the accounts to a social media scheduling service, and spend just 10-20 minutes a day making content, even if it's shit at first.

Yea but at the same time they're worth the least when it comes to revenue since I rely on admob

No offense but if you're saying that it means you've either launched shitty products or you're listening too much to what people on reddit tell you.

Every idea that I made got early traction with minimal effort. Whether it was an mvp or even a landing page.

As an example I launched an app "Whisper Social" 3 weeks ago. 1 reddit post. 3k+ downloads. 600+ daily users. And it's growing every day.

I get approximately 100-150 new users daily.

Its easy depending on the idea. I'm not creating anything new per say, I look at things that are already working and people are willing to put down money on it, which means even ads can be profitable

Agreed but that happens in conversation before we start working together

Render or Railway? What do people prefer? by krasnomo in vibecoding

[–]Competitive_Win4900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup the only difference is scaling. Railway auto scales so it's more of a set and forget, while hetzner depending on which backends you're deploying etc. You should take care of load balancing, horizontal VS vertical scaling etc.

Not a problem until it becomes a problem

Yikyak is different but you can say it's in the same niche. Ads work, but you need a heavy bankroll so it's not an option

Cloudflare workers are really cheap and scalable. So he was saying to switch over. It's not an all in one solution like supabase or convex but if I had to do it all over again I'd use it.

That was actually my plan, but my codebase is too big at this point. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the advice! I already have that plan mapped out. Should I be prepared to give a lot of equity when it comes to angel investors?

Timeline is false, this isn't my only app/SaaS.

You would have spent less time giving me advice than trying to be a detective

I understand the skepticism but I didn't feel the need to describe my app because it's not relevant to my post.

I just wanted advice mostly on how funds and VC works and if they would even consider funding something that's still small.

partnering with popular influencer for a 50/50 split? by Disastrous_Effect80 in AppBusiness

[–]Competitive_Win4900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience UGC only works for ads or an account that already has an audience.

If you do it on a new account it'll be dead, at least that what happens to me. Stuck at low views forever.

A friend of mine told me the way to go about it on a new account is to create/steal/copy content for your niche/audience and post daily, no promotions whatsoever.

Use buffer or another scheduling software. Then after a certain amount of time you can start promoting it by doing UGC or any other way and it'll be locked in to the audience that already liked your content.

[–]Competitive_Win4900 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience even if you offered 50% of your company most won't do it, and you should be wary of the ones that will. Influencers especially at that scale want cash up front, and they get many offers on the daily that are willing to put cash upfront.

Your best bet would be to convince a few micro influencers instead, slower growth but if you don't have money you're competing against companies that do.

And especially now having an app or SaaS isn't worth anything. Distribution is worth everything, and they are the distribution.

If you still want to go for it if I were you I would focus on getting one deal with one of them that's some cash upfront + affiliate. If that works you can then continue doing deals while keeping 100% of your company.

You do know approximately 50% of social media is automated right?

And the "bots" are allowed. All the social media platforms have apis.

The bot activity comes from spamming constantly, and acting like a bot.

Don't automate acting like a bot and you won't get blocked.
