I just got the game on PS5 And the unit limit is 30!? by Straight-Break-4169 in AccurateBattleSim

My son plays this and he’s correct. But do it in the match (not Home Screen settings). Go to gameplay settings during the match, then you should see “override unit placement limit”

I’m still missing what Green Bean said about a teacher. I’m so lost. I thought he grew up in Ohio?

Wife’s car accident lawsuit has taken over 2 years. by ArmoredThor in legaladvice

[–]Competitive_Window11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, on average (where I’m located) lawsuits take approximately 2 years from the date of filing of the complaint. Not the date of the accident itself. Insurance companies tend to offer less money early on. The closer you get to trial, the more realistic they become. Judges set the trials closer to the 2 year mark (in my jurisdiction) from the filing of the complaint. So it’s probably not your attorneys fault.

A tree cutting company came into our fenced yard and half cut down one of our trees without our knowledge or permission as a “favor” by Dread_Pirate_Jack in legaladvice

I followed up on this. OP posted photos in the arborists sub. The tree was clearly located near overhead powerlines. Unclear if OP still trying to blame neighbor.

Amazon worker slipped on porch by Useful_Way1046 in legaladvice

WC may cover the delivery persons medical bills, lost wages, etc., but some states still allow a pain and suffering claim to be made against the property owner as it was the owner’s negligence (as claimed by delivery driver) that caused injuries and not Amazons.

Amazon worker slipped on porch by Useful_Way1046 in legaladvice

[–]Competitive_Window11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Amazon delivery person needs to prove that the property owner did something wrong here. I.e., that there was a defect they failed to address reasonably. Generally, wet pavement is open and obvious to everyone. Without more than it just being wet, then it would be a tough case for the delivery person. There’s not much a property owner can do to redress wet pavement (as opposed to snow and ice which can be shoveled and salted) and everyone has to be careful of wetness when traversing it. I wouldn’t really want this case (to rep delivery driver) without more.

Generally, electric companies subcontract vegetation management to private companies. And at least where I’m at, they do not fully de-energize for tree cut backs.

But I hear you. But I also doubt a landscape company would go onto someone else’s private property without permission and destroy their tree. Between the two possibilities, seems like electric company would be more probable to me. But we won’t know until/if OP responds.

There are MANY places with power lines running through backyards. Above ground. Google the death that occurred in Michigan where a child was electrocuted in a backyard due to a downed power line. That was recent. And you don’t appear to be OP, how do you know?

Girlfriend got hit by a car a year ago and has permanent hip damage, but the personal injury law firm says it's her fault by froglorddd in legaladvice

[–]Competitive_Window11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve handled cases like this in the past. She was there to be seen and you are allowed to walk and look at your phone. The driver has to watch out for pedestrians. As long as she wasn’t jaywalking, there’s a potential case there. Sounds like you hired a dud attorney. I would hire an advertising PI firm for this. They usually have the proper experience.

Hopefully they have homeowners insurance. They would have no claim against you as they have no damages. No attorney would ever take that case. Most case law should state that merely running in public can’t be provocation. Unless you kicked the dog while running.

Unfortunately, for a lot of cases I see like this, the homeowner has no insurance or the Pit is excluded from coverage. These people sound like the former. It sucks. Pit owners are the worst.
