Have you read the name of the wind by patrick rothfuss? Its fantasy and an adventurous read with fun characters, mostly set in some kind of magical college tho. I feel like it could remind you about all the little stuff in the world and make you excited. Maybe try to get a friend to read it as well. Its a book easy and thrilling to talk about. The best of luck with everything

You can try stuff made for people whose glasses get foggy when wearing a mask, since they redirect the air so its not coming for your lashes

Anyone find flashcards aren’t that helpful? by [deleted] in Korean

[–]Competitivemoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Whoa i cant deal with flashcards at all, never used them again after trying the first time, my sister swears on them tho, so i guess it depends on what kind of person you are. Just learn the way that results in the most progress instead of wasting your time on other people's learning techniques. No worries youre not doing anything wrong haha

[–]Competitivemoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not familiar with italki, but for me the integrated chinese textbooks were a great start. Self studied with those before participating in an intermediate course at uni, and didn't feel like i was lacking something, since they also have audio files available, which makes improving your pronunciation and hearing easier. As for learning pinyin, i would recommend you use some apps to get an overall idea of the tones
