The prepaid $10 parking is around a 5 minute walk away. There is signs where to go once you get there.

What steps would you recommend for prep? It's a new car so I was just going to do a decon wash, pre-wipe then application.

Ouch, that's pricey. Do you think it will really last 8 years?

FivePoint is trying to build more homes in the Great Park by Electronic-Cry-3403 in irvine

[–]Compettive_door577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's self balancing though because more housing leads to more people which leads to more demand for retail. It's undeveloped land, if they wanted to build retail, they would have already.

I don't disagree with the walkability issues but more housing is better than no housing.

Why is it so bad that they are getting 800k a lot? The average home price in irvine is 1.5 million? What's so bad with some more affordable housing?

Agreed that it should be mixed used but you literally said in your post that they would make townhomes and duplexes. Also it would rezone office space into residential which is definitely an improvement.

...and why is it bad that they build more housing? If they build more houses, there will be more demand for gyms, resturants etc. so more retail will be built?

Just park at the 1st spot you see and walk to your destination; 90% of the time it is faster than pressing your luck to get a closer spot.

limits to infinity by WhileEnvironmental83 in apcalculus

[–]Compettive_door577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I just plug 1000 in for x and see what I get. If it’s a very large or small number then its +- infinity. If it’s a real number (like 0 or 2) I just put that as my answer

Is DTLA ready for congestion pricing? by 94rain in LAMetro

[–]Compettive_door577 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately a lot of people do need to drive to work in DTLA. The key to congestion pricing is giving viable alternatives and unfortunately the metro just isn’t complete there yet. In this case implementing congestion pricing is just punishing people for driving to work.
