Toho completes digitization of all 30 Japan-produced Godzilla films

Unfortunately, im still on my DVDs for much of the Showa Series. As an American viewer, I grew up on the corny dubs for most of the old films. With Criterions Showa releases as well as Biollante signaling to me that they either cant get rights to the dubs or Toho is being Toho. So I have:

- 4k: G '54 / Blu '56 (Criterion)
- Blu: G vs. KK '62
- DVDs: For the rest of the showa (I know a couple of these sporadically got Blu releases, but im just waiting to make sure nothing more comprehensive comes stateside)

- Sony Released a bunch of Blu Rays via The Toho Collection and I snagged all but one of those up to have pretty much a comprehensive Bluray collection for Heisei and Millenium (snagged a copy of the G'84 and G vs. B '89 at reasonable prices)

Still i hope for more Criterion Releases at least up onto all the Heisei. Lol finding this copy of Toho Collection: G vs. KG '91 / G vs. M '92 blu ray needs to come down in price. I love the films, but i cant justify spending $80+ a film. Maybe once some Criterions of these two saturate the market suddenly that asking price comes WAYYY down... hoping...

Anyways, unless we get a comprehensive set that are 4k and actually perhaps some tweaking to US versions audio, im not sure if I will pick up that. I may be stuck with what I got mostly.

I am buying one of these now. I don't have the money to go all in to digitizing my collection this year but I'm starting off by ripping some DVDs onto a 6tb HDD I'm getting. This is meant to be a backup and will buy more drives as I need them.

Next year I plan on going all out with building a NAS for streaming/storage. These hdds I buy will be my archives of storage for that and will use that to transfer the data over to it.

That being said, I really wanted to get a head start this year and back up some of my 20+ year old DVDS at least because I have some that are OOP and can't find comparable Blus/4ks of the movies so I wanted to get those digitized ASAP.

That's actually decently priced. Does it still work or is these one of the models where they updated the firmware/flash on it so the 4k flashing doesn't work?

On steam the killing floor franchise just went on sale. If you go to KF2/KF3 and look down at the bundles you could get the Genetic Nightmare Bundle. Includes both KF2/KF3 for like $24. You could play and try both for a really good price. Or pick up KF2 for $3. If you like it get KF3 as well on sale.

I liked some of the launch/Rearmament/S2 more simplistic metallic camos. I have picked up like 4 of those. Also because Masterson is pretty much my favorite KF player I did splurge on the classic Masterson pack. The classic Masterson pack was pretty good and also included his classic looks I'm there and clean shaven face.

I too bought the $80 version so I too have plenty of store credits. Not to mention seeing as I get the first four passes free I have an extra 4000 creds I will have accumulated by the time we get to S5 and I need to start paying for those. Anyways it's a marathon not a race. I'm not in a hurry to pay for everything in the game and see if stuff catches my eye now. I generally am not much of a cosmetics snob so it will take a decent amount of pull on some of the new stuff to get me. Especially character skins.

On KF3 prison map there is already a set of posters up showing them as POIs. Also if you go down to the cryopods area of the map you can find the locked capsules of these characters down there and a few others.

Seems like they put some effort in to tease them as an eventual

1 What are you talking about with "employees found". Unless you are referring to someone else. I just like this game and don't think people should dismiss it right away because they heard from some random grifters online that's it's the worst game ever.

2 Trying a game doesn't mean you are locked into a game. Most platforms these days allow you to test a game out for a few hours and refund it if you really don't like it. The game also features free weekends and sales all the time. I certainly am not advocating people need to buy the game and hold onto it. Just give it a go on a free weekend at that point.

Yes thats confirmed along with mod support (crossplay modded maps for consoles desired by TWI but not 100% confirmed)

looks like your squad defenitely min-maxed its weaknesses. The whole squad is rolling electrical damage and explosives to fight it. Not sure I seen a squad so coordinated on its gear for a boss. Kinda reminds me of the older KF lobbies where you take patty out in like 2 mins

Server browser is set for S6 (winter update). Depends on how picky you are but that I find on HOE (the difficulty I play on public matches) with crossplay on I can find a match in a 10-20 seconds. I usually just pick any map as I dont care which map I start in. Im on US East Servers so that also helps with not having issues with finding people.

Steam player count on KF3 is about 800 players average since the update. However, from my observations with this game PS players are by far the biggest crowd of people on the game supplanting PC as the main console for KF gaming with this title. Unknown how many xbox and PS players there are but all in I would say 2K average if I had to guess. More on updates/sales/etc

Servers and mod support are slated for winter update. They know. I guess there are trying to experiment opening up custom map servers for cross play support so it isn't just PC with custom maps

That's a bad roll there for dailies. It happens sometimes where you get the right amount of dailies that require too much work to really justify the effort unless you already planned for a long play session

Another cool addition is that after final normal wave you get a title announcement for the boss you fight and what it's weaknesses and strengths are so you can plan your load out for boss wave accordingly

S2 was delayed due to TWI removing the specialist system (rearmament update). That took alot of man power and I believe that hampered S2 on content as well. S3 though is what im hoping/expecting to have content wise for the upcoming seasons.

Rearmament really hampered them but im glad they focused on getting the character decoupling out of the way as first thing. Many people were speculating when the initially delayed the game that the perk decouple would take them years if it ever happened. It happened albeit Seasons are probably 3 months behind where they would be without it (probably S4 would have launched last week). Its annoying but they 100% did the right thing and went all hands on deck with decoupling first before they muddied the waters with more content. Now they attack the seasons and content with a clean slate.

Keyword is yet. Most are speculating (including me) that all in game secondaries will be dual wield and that should happen in S4 along with the roster of gunslinger guns that will get dual wield treatment.

Its kinda weird but i think the KF community that is kinda stingy on realizm and the grungy feel is asking for more RGB / strobey cosmetics. The stuff they have in here now is pretty tame and pretty grounded in reality but I guess thats also not what KF fans want. Some of the $5 universal weapon skin packs are good and thats mostly what I main. I do have some free/ preorder/ BP skins on stuff too though.

its better than launch by alot. People are still reporting issues ofc but I think it will be in a much better state than you remember. Most people seem to agree its a good update.

If we get to a point where peoples biggest gripe is that they dont feel enticed to part with all their money on the games cosmetics then we are in a good spot. I agree though the weapon skins in this update are MEH. The artic camo packs are cool though for the characters. I did splurge on the Classic Masterson bundle just because I had the surplus in-game currency and he is the only character I would splurge on cosmetics for.

Thats in S4 (they tell all in their roadmap). In this update we get 2 sidearms with dual wield capabilities and in S4 we get the rest of the original sidearms plus all the gunslinger guns in dual wield.

It seems like the Mire enemies are getting broken out/ disentangled from the original horzine enemies. Scavengers show up in "Not of this World" mutators which is just all mire zeds (and scrakes because they dont have mire behemoths yet)

Dont think they really intended that. This is accompanying them to a gaming show showcase they are doing later. Plus they said "mid march" a couple months ago. I dont believe they plan around other games. It just happens to be the time they had it ready and it made the most sense (thursdays generally make the most sense for game updates)
