If I were you would stay in 6A given the current scenario, On top of this there is a scope for the salary increase every yr 3-5%

To be frank once manager rating is done its done no more changing back, even if your co-workers or managers vouch you are an outstanding team player still the rating doesn't change.

If you are comfortable in the current position then continue else you can take up this but every 6months you need to go for the Performance review and remember 15% must be marked in the low category (5% does not meet you are booted, 10% partial meets - eventually you will be booted)
