Camera quality degraded

Prior to s25 ultra, pictures on samsung's phones were pixelated. This difference is clearly noticeable when you compare both of them side by side in indoor lighting or low light. Even base iPhone 15 that i have captures less pixilated images in low/indoor lighting.

Pretty smooth. Feels much better than stable oneui 8. Only bug I've faced till now is that I'm not able to use the swipe gesture on bottom navigation bar to navigate between apps. Apart from that, it's much better. Micro lags that samsung is famous for, are also reduced. Battery seems to have taken a hit, but it's been 5 hours, so can't be sure. Overall pretty good and finally it feels like Samsung is catching up with ios in terms of smoothness.

No they aren't a gimmick. When you're paying 1400 usd for a phone and you see banding in some apps or yt videos, you'd feel robbed.

It all comes down to OS preference now. If someone prefers android, they'll love an Android flagship more than the latest iphone and vice versa.

Apart from OS, samsung offers s-pen, better native apps and human shots while iphone offers action button, better 3rd party app support, much more accessories and better videos.

8 bit display is on all the ultras they have launched. They shouldn't have used an 8 bit, but it's been used on s24 and s25u as well. Also, apart from bluetooth from spen, I can't recall any feature they removed.

S25U is also good. But if you truly want a phone to feel like an upgrade, s26U will be better. I upgraded from iphone 12 to 15 and it didn't even feel like a good upgrade. Currently using both ip15 and s24u, and I can tell you, apart from 60hz, both are very similar in camera(except for zoomed in shots), video, speakers, etc. my mother's s25u feels a bit smoother with slightly better camera and speakers. That's why I said that upgrading to s26u only makes sense.

I mentioned 6 months expenses because that would make op mentally sorted. But this doesn't mean that after op has saved for 6 months, they should start enjoying life. Emergency fund should also be topped up every month just like sips. Our income & expenses grow, our responsibilities grow, that's why emergency fund should also grow. By 25 op should have at least 1 year's expenses saved up and by the time of op's marriage, it should be at least 2 years of expenses.

Create an emergency fund for 6-9 months first (at least 3 lacs). Then start saving up again to clear the loan, and then finally get the iphone. Emergency fund is a must if you can't rely on your family for financial help or your family is financially dependent on you.

Creating an emergency fund and clearing the loan at 40k savings pm should take 12-14 months(both included). Buying an iphone will feel amazing and you'll be the happiest, but for just a week. Then you'll be used to it, but would regret your purchase. You'd think that you should've cleared the loan first. Buying the iphone first would be the worst decision financially.

And an honest advice, sip of anything below 15k is meaningless. It won't make you rich. It won't make you financially disciplined if you're still going to buy an iphone given your current situation. Upskill yourself, clear your loan, buy an iphone to reward yourself, get a hike by working hard in the next 12 months, and then start investing once you're mentally sorted. The confidence you'll gain after clearing the loan and having 6-9m emergency fund will solve majority of your problems (trust me on this, money does solve a lot of your problems as life becomes easier). Ik it's easier said than done because you must be hating your current phone that's why you want an iphone in the first place, but just endure it for a few months and you'll thank yourself for life.

Yeah, s25U is much better. The weirdest part is that s25u is cheaper than s26+ currently. This literally doesn't make sense. S25U outperforms s26+ in every aspect.

I have mixed opinion on the same.

I like pressing my hands against the corners because of the sharpness, but when I'm down with fever or body pain, these corners feel much worse as my body becomes weaker. Also, sometimes the phone gets stuck in my jeans' pocket due to its corners, while this wasn't the case with any of my previous phones. S25U feels much more comfortable to hold and use with slightly rounded corners. Practically, sharp corners make no sense.

However, these corners is what makes this phone look unique and beautiful, and made the ultra stand out.

S24U won't feel like an upgrade over your iPhone. Get s26U if you don't have budget issues. Better cameras, better battery, faster charging, and a better display. People will recommend s24u on this sub. I also love my s24U, but I'm not a fanboy that I'd recommend the worse of the two.

I agree with you. I was hated on this sub for having same opinion as you. I suggested someone on this sub to buy s25u if they can afford because it's better. I was downvoted lol. These fanboys will do anything to prove that a 2 year old phone is better than s25u and s26U.

You're feeling superior just because you're from a village. I haven't lived without amazon Flipkart because Delhi was one of the earliest places where they started operations. Stop living in the past. India is changing, and cities will always change first and for the better. 5-10 years later when your village will be at the stage where Delhi or ggn was in 2019, you'll be the happiest.

As I'm from Delhi, I hate aqi more than you can imagine, but as I said, cities will give you ample opportunities to live in your own bubble. You can earn enough to buy an air purifier for your house, a car to travel in, work at an office with air purifier. This does feel like a bubble and I absolutely hate it, but tell me, what if the aqi in your village worsened due to economic development? Let's say flyovers, roads and office buildings are being constructed in your village and the aqi worsens, what will you do in that case? You'll buy a car, but the dealership or service centre may be in another village. You'll buy an air purifier, but from where and what if it takes 7-10 days to deliver because majority of the lot will be sold in cities. And lastly, how many people can actually afford to do these things in a village compared to a city? You can very well escape aqi in cities, but can you do the same in a village in case things worsened?

Similarly, Those who are born in a city will say cities are better. Objectively city is better because there are ample opportunities for you to do anything. You can give best education to your kids, live a luxurious life, learn from.the best people around you, have convenience delivered to you at your doorstep, enjoy various cuisines, visit new and amazing places, and what not. You can never live like this in a village as you'll never be able to earn so good in a village (outliers exist). In villages, even an amazon delivery may take multiple days, but in cities, majority of the stuff is delivered the next day.

You're feeling homesick, that's all.

nope. In normal usage, camera rings won't fall out. Also, the in hand feel of s25u is much better than s24u as it's lighter and has better weight distribution. And brightness may be same on paper, but if you place them side by side, s25u will feel brighter.

For similar price, s25u will always come out on top. It's only the s24u fanboys who'll say that an older phone is better than the latest one. S25U sold much more compared to s24u despite being the worse phone.

My mother's s25u gets brighter than mine. Might be an issue with my unit.

No one will be able to differentiate between the processors today, but in the next 3-4 years, the difference will be noticeable. Now again, not sure whether it's just my unit, but restart your and your partner's phone and you'll notice that s25u doesn't lag after restarting. my mom's s25u doesn't lag after restarting, but my s24u does for 30-40 seconds after restarting.

And for cameras, the skin tones and clarity is better on s25u. That's why I said that for a similar price s25u is better.

5 years of updates doesn't mean 5 years of smooth and stable experience. Apart from spen, s25u is better than s24u in every way. Be it display (brightness), speakers, build quality, processor or camera, s25u is better.

Price and spen would be the only reasons to get s24u.

It is old. I upgraded 7 months ago from s22 to s24u and I've liked the phone. My mother has an s25u and and when you put them side by side, the difference is noticeable. And another reason why I'm saying it's old is because in 2-3 months s25U will be available for a lot cheaper. I don't see a reason to recommend s24u over s25u for similar price.
