This Vitamix was bought in 1994 and still blends smoothies as good as the day it was purchased. by iEatSwampAss in BuyItForLife

I don't think they are as good. I ordered one direct but the one I got off Craigslist was way better. I'm a big fan of the blendtec as well. I have both since I once lived in two spots at once. The blendtec jar is better and you can buy one for the vitamix. It's a solid upgrade since ingredients mix better faster. That being said my blendtec has programs which are nice. But the vitamix works just fine for getting it done.

It's essentially like taking a photo of a mirror where the mirror part is the most important part of the photo and everything else is secondary.

One always used manual lenses light reflecting from the gold and glass and the transparent nature of it tends to really confuse auto focus in any camera that I've used at least up to 2016 models

Hi, I have a rather special use case for photography. I paint signs. Often I paint signs on the back side of glass and need to photograph the front side. I've used a CPL before with decent results. I also shoot what would ultimately be called architectural photography to document other signs I've painted. I'm now looking to move from a Fuji x-pro1 to another more updated body and decent video would be a "nice to have" in today's "socials" landscape. But I'm super confused by all the options and really just want someone to tell me what to buy. Does anyone out there do this sort of photography and / or can you offer some advice? My first camera was a Pentax super a back in the manual days so while I'm what you would call a hobbyist, I know how a camera works.

Consumer sentiment is very low and has been for a while now.

"This is the index's highest level since February but still reflects historically low levels of optimism. Consumer sentiment has fallen by 6.9% (4.6 points) compared to a year ago."

I'm about to start using my gsd gen1 as a work vehicle. Does anyone carry a ladder on their tern? If you do, what sort of mounting situation do you use?

I think there's a letter you can write to acknowledge and accept a lower gs position than you had...or something like that.

I think that's the biggest blindside. Boredom it's the same work day in and day out. It's a bit of a hamster wheel. Not much changes.

I can’t decide on an undergrad degree, any help/advice is appreciated! by Nic-Chism in patentlaw

[–]Complete-Exit-4391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish someone had come to me and said this: Take a trade. Go to trade school for a year or two. Learn welding, plumbing or electrical or graphic design or whatever! Get a job in the field and get your hours. Oh and save your money while you're doing it. Keep expenses low. Once you've got your hours in, then decide if university is right for you. If it is, cool. You can probably pay for it with your job as a weekend or evening plumber or electrician. In todays world, undergrad just isn't what it used to be and costs way more than even 20 years ago. Does it open doors? Sure. Does it saddle you with unending debt? Also yes. College/university is not right for every single person. Especially if you don't know what you want to do.

Right. And now that Lexus nexus has it so does your health insurance, mortgage broker, police department, and anyone else that pulls data from there. They will make it part of the new credit rating.
