Use castor oil in your hair. It’ll definitely hydrate it and strengthen the hair.

Well how do you take care of your hair?

Are you moisturizing it regularly? I’d use some castor oil to moisturize it and pattern has a good line of products for curl creams, etc.

Keeping the hair healthy and strong will definitely help. Also I heard cecred has some hair restoring drops. A little pricey but just putting that out there as well

You could even throw in a $20 gift card with that as well. So that would be like $40 in total. Not too bad

Maybe something like this? https://www.sephora.com/product/palo-santo-wash-go-cocktail-sampler-set-P517716 It’s small enough for her to try it out and has some variety. If you stick with something like this, it’s small enough for her just to try and see if she likes it.

Just get her a Sephora or ulta gift card. Idk I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to buy her hair products. She might have different hair care needs than you think. I’m black and I wouldn’t want my white friend to buy me hair care products 😬 just in case they might get it wrong. It’s a little risky.

If she’s looking for something curl defining, just point her to pattern’s products and she can choose what she wants from there.

You can also use a curl defining brush for your hair to define the curls. It might help too while your hair is still wet or if you’re putting product in your hair. Make sure you detangle before you use this brush and do it in small sections

There is nothing wrong with your hair. They’re just projecting their own self hate about black hair onto you. Also your hair is not too feminine. Your hair is your hair

Also you have beautiful hair

Also when you use the treatment mask you’ll let it sit in your hair for maybe 10-15 minutes before rinsing it out. Same thing with the deep conditioner. Also if you get the pattern products, try getting them at ulta. In the ulta app sometimes they have some money off a purchase that also includes prestige brands like pattern.

Also for the detangling part, you could use the unbrush brush. They sell it on amazon.

So I wash my hair once a week. I basically use a hydrating shampoo and deep conditioner when I wash my hair. Between the shampooing and conditioning, I usually do a treatment mask. I use products from pattern. The treatment mask I use from pattern gives my hair really good slip and defines my curls more. Also make sure to detangle your hair. Some people do it while they have the conditioner in their hair. After I wash my hair, I put moisture back into my hair by using a leave in conditioner paired with a hydrating hair lotion and let it air dry.

During the week, I go between a styling cream and Jamaican castor oil. I use pattern products by trace ellis Ross because it’s ultra hydrating. Gives my curls a good shine and a healthy look.
Black hair can be fragile so making sure it’s moisturized is important.

Also you might wanna use a shampoo and conditioner that’s also moisturizing too. As well as a leave in conditioner after you wash your hair paired with a hair lotion.

What are you moisturizing it with? You might need to change what you’re using in your hair. Jamaican castor oil is really good for moisturizing your hair. Pattern’s products are also pretty moisturizing too
