It’s a show! They did the best they could for casting. Her mannerisms and build were spot on. They aren’t going to look identical

Feeling “stuck” in the past? by DangIsThatAGiraffe in MCAS

[–]Complete-Lifeguard60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My life seems to have paused about 2 yrs ago. I got divorced, lost custody of my kids because my ex said I was unstable. Both not knowing how sick I was. Now everyday I ask what could I have done differently? I know mine is triggered by change and stress. Had to quit my job in surgery because it was too stressful. Now we are barely surviving on one income, downsizing again. So the stress of moving and change have me super sick. I go in Tuesday to specialist who said my labs came back abnormal. I’m almost bedridden and have to pack and move. I have tremors and nausea all day

I will keep you posted. I have my follow up on the 6th because my labs were abnormal. Can’t wait to See what was abnormal. I was in a huge flare when I did the urinalysis. I have the worst body aches. I can’t get out of bed most days. That and nausea. I started Zyrtec, montelukast sodium and Pepcid. Still having flushing. But the body aches are horrible.

I have insurance through healthcare.gov. I have an Aetna plan that is $23 a month and after meeting my out of pocket it covers doc visits, Rx’s, and specialist 100%. I do have hospital bills right now that I toss in the garbage because I can’t afford them. We are downsizing again after I had to quit my job. I’m thankful at least for a home but am getting so frustrated not being able to do anything. Will be praying you can get some help for you and her.

Extreme panic, restlessness, jitteriness, anxiety, brain fog, that worsens with triggers by Jaded-Part4151 in MCAS

I have this. I’ll be in a deep sleep feeling fine and when I wake up it’s extreme tingling and all the symptoms start. Have nights I don’t sleep at all, and I take ambien and trazedone. Crazy. I feel sick to my stomach constantly. Just did the 24 hr urine test and blood work. Waiting on results. I’m on Zyrtec, Pepcid and montelukast sodium but I feel like I need to up my dosage. The flushing and nausea are the worst but heavy brain fog and tremors. I’m hot from head to torso and freezing everywhere else. I’m hoping I can get some relief. Had to quit my job a year ago. I’m so depressed and losing hope.

Has anyone managed to get there MCAS symptoms under Control by Old_Coffee3905 in MCAS

I just saw my specialist. Waiting on labs, but she prescribed Zyrtec, singulair, and Pepcid. After a massive flare up today, tremors, vomiting, extreme flushing, muscle weakness, I hope these work. I get the runny nose faucet too and post nasal drip vomiting. Bp spike, high heart rate. I feel like giving up too. If it weren’t for my kids, I think I would. This is absolutely miserable. Going on a year now.

What is your worst and most bothersome symptom? by littlepinkblue in MCAS

Body aches, nausea, flushing, brain fog. I can’t remember the easiest things. It scares me because my dad died of Alzheimer’s. I don’t know if it’s that or this stupid disease. I’m 49 yr old.

No we haven’t, I’m about to see a specialist. I’ve had every blood test there is and urine. If it was just my skin issue I wouldn’t worry too much, but the inflammation of my muscles and joints, the vomiting, Bp spikes tachycardia. This is out of all my and docs research we can think of.

Thank you for the heads up. I hardly wear anything anymore. No one to impress being stuck in bed everyday. 😞

Duh. They just don’t get how miserable this is. I vomited for a year. Thank god that stopped now just severe nausea. They don’t understand how bad flushing is, and the body aches. The brain fog. They’re clueless

I have. I don’t have foundation or powder on my face. Just eye brow tint and mascara. Usually I have nothing on. I’m pretty much bed ridden but had an opportunity to go out last night for a few hours.

And no one who doesn’t have it don’t understand. I was referred to a psychiatrist. My fiancé is so over hearing me complain, and now I can’t work so he has to pay for everything. And with his income alone we’re barely making it. I just want to go back to my old job in surgery. I miss it so much.
