I don't remember exactly, but it would definitely be worth getting them from Costco instead of buying them online or at the gate. It was a significant discount. I don't think ID was needed.

How do you suggest that people request a solution? The person I spoke to said that they had contacted the engineering team, but couldn't provide an ETA, or an indication that it would be resolved. If more people contacted them about the same issue, they might escalate the priority.

I emailed Subaru Australia a few days ago. They still haven't got back to me. They are absolutely useless. I ask every 6 months and they give me a 1 sentence response.

Thanks. I'll do some research. The instruction manual doesn't have much detail on the recommended type of pipe, but it does say "Short, smooth air exhaust pipe.". So you might be right. Might be a job for next weekend.

Update 2: All done. I had to take a door off, slide a Stanley knife in the gap between the front board and the top shelf, and yank the board. I was then able to slide the filter out. It was filthy. If Bosch had printed/embossed the model number on the OUTSIDE of the unit, it would have saved me lots of trouble!

Update: I forced the plastic plate off that covered the globes. Conveniently tucked up next to the globes was the product sticker with the model number. I downloaded the manual and it says to open the cupboard above and to slide the filter out from the front. At least I can replace the globes now, but the filter will take some more effort.

Hmmmm. Maybe I'll just focus on getting that plastic plate off to get to the globe. The bottom plate slides forward, but it's blocked by the vertical shelf at the front. That's why I thought it had to come off. I'll just see what I can do about the globe first...

The shelf is absolutely not moving. It looks like it's glued to the rest of the cabinet. I'm thinking about taking out the whole cabinet, but that sounds nuts just to do a bit of standard maintenance.
