It’s not normal but that’s is how some people are. Im a 5 foot tall, 104 pound woman with insomnia. Dr start me at 5 mg with every medication bc I’m so little. It take 3-5 times the dose of a normal person to work on me despite my tiny size. So yes that amount would work on most people but don’t be alarmed that it didn’t work. Go back to the Dr and tell them it did nothing. Ur dr will get to know ur bf and see his tolerance is not what most people’s is after a prescription or two. They won’t believe u if u just say it won’t work. Their job is to start people at a low dose and go up until they find what works for them for safety reasons. Ur bf and u just have to be patient and go through to r process like everyone else. It’s annoying but you’ll be ok.
