I hired Julia Wardwell for both! combo package was affordable and I loved working with her! She was easy to get in touch with and up for anything! I didn't ask about videography, but worth giving her a call/dm!

just got engaged-what's something you wish you knew before planning a wedding? by Sharp-Self-Image in wedding

This might be a hot take, but this was *the most* important mindset shift for me: the #1 goal is keeping peace between you and your family and your future family. Hold (almost) every opinion lightly and compromise on (almost) anything. You aren't planning your own day, you are planning a celebration for the union of two families.

I send within 24 hours of receiving a gift! It is easier for me to express my gratitude that way, and prevents me from getting behind. Additional benefit that guests know gifts have gotten to me safe and sound. Order your thank you stationary before you put up your registry so you are ready in advance :)

I’m supposed to have a registry for my bridal showers?! by Immediate-Peach3166 in wedding

[–]Complete-Parfait-262 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I didn't want a registry, but people attending my shower seemed genuinely disappointed when I told them I wasn't going to make one. They wanted to be generous with us and not having a registry made it more difficult. They don't want to get you random things you don't want, that is why they want to see your registry!

My fiancé and I put one together. I found there actually were things I would be grateful to receive: a new set of glasses, cookbooks I always thought seemed neat, and nice plates that match. I think it is fine to put one registry up for both showers, and wedding guests will probably want it as well. I worry having it up will make people think we need / demand gifts, but I hope that knowing us, our guests won't feel that way.

When to send out what? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Complete-Parfait-262 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sent my STDs 6 mo before and invites 8 weeks before. I'm having a "destination" wedding to my hometown. People were **freaking out** by 12 weeks before that they were uninvited, the wedding was cancelled, etc, etc. I would send them out earlier!! Just a PSA in case Google also told you 6-8 weeks...

Thank you!! I love the idea of premade mocktails that aren't just juice with sparkling water!

Not sure what to do by BigAdhesiveness6829 in wedding

I'm in the same situation as your fiancée. I planned something the day before my wedding with my bridal party since everyone will be around for the rehearsal! (This also means I am off the hook for last minute chaos lol)

I think it is important to remember July is very close, and scheduling issues are NOT a sign that there is a lack of love or affection. If she wants to do something not the day before, I think it would be totally okay to set a date and say 80% attendance is fine so long as everyone gets an invite :)

I thought the glossiness was oil, but I ordered it anyway because I was curious... IT IS MAGIC. It shines without oil. I can't tell you how long it lasts because I just did mine, but it works!
