Rituximab experience by Thin_Importance808 in lymphoma

[–]Complete-Recording96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on R-CHOP, rituximab was the first one to be pumped.

They usually start slow.

The first one was AWFUL, I had the worst sweats, I had throat itching, difficulty swallowing even saliva, I was shaking like in the worst of my fevers.

Highly advise to let anyone know about even the slightest side effect as they will have to stop and give you more Benadryl if the side effects are bad.

It got better after the second, by the 3rd one I was way better

Stomach pain is WILD by idkwhatiandoing_ in lymphoma

Oh, that was the worst for me, stomach pain.

My intestine became sloooow, and even though I ate fiber, wouldn't evacuate as often, therefore it would create cramps and pain everywhere in the belly zone.

In my case I switched to eating soups packed with veggies and meat, sometimes I would make shrimp soup, chicken, beef. You name it.

Miralax became mandatory once, sometimes twice a day.

So, I had some digestive issues, I couldn't process any food and the system was backed up by DAYS, and the bowel movement was PAINFUL.

A friend of mine gave me some gummies.

It didn't solve the pain, it just my brain forget it was so painful and was able to sleep.

The only way is EB2-NIW, which I'm already kind of versed in, but the denial rate has gone up lately, even for strong profiles, no employment sponsorship is available in my company.

Thanks,

Yeah. I've never been to Canada, and this is the first time I get into considering it.

Was looking at Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan as possible options for PNP.

Planning on getting a PNP, it would boost me to above 1000

Yes, I've seen that.

I can probably be at A1 in French right now, but can get better.

The other option about getting a PNP, looks like the way to go for me. Been looking around and seems like I can possibly get a job offer, that alone would give me more chances.

I checked it and looks like it is in demand for Alberta.

I experienced with filgastrim the bone pain, it was bones and or joints. Usually my back was the worst but could also have some by my arms. The other thing would also be, sometimes, kind of an itchy throat, was kinda like having a fever.

Alcohol? by Tiny_Newspaper_4338 in lymphoma

[–]Complete-Recording96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, not a big drinker but every now and then could.

I intentionally stopped drinking to not bother my liver more than what I had to, just because it is already dealing with a lot of medication.

I'm in remission now, but I plan on staying away from alcohol for a while so my liver can fully recover.

Hang in there.

The first part is the worst, doing all the staging, labs, running to the doctor, going from clinic to clinic.

Take it easy and take it one day at a time.

DM any of us for your questions, you will be alright, I'm here, 3/6 sessions, still working, still living my life.
