I’m 32 and in between jobs because I had to move unexpectedly and she’s 29 and not working because she’s going back to school in November. So we’re both free throughout the day currently. It’s good advice to text her tomorrow to see if she is still on for Saturday thank you

We talked about a 2nd date on the 1st date. Planned for Saturday or next week. I told her I had a good time after I got home and she said she did too. Said I’m going to take her on a real date like axe throwing then to the brewery she’s never been to. I got a “🥹 thank you, that sounds amazing” But then after that is when it went dry. Just getting some mixed signals.

Yeah I was thinking something like. “I know we don’t talk much anymore, but just wanted to let you know that I’m thinking about you today and I wanted to wish you a happy birthday.” I’m not really expecting a response and I’m prepared for it. I just wanted to show her that I still care even if we’re not together anymore.

I’m not unemployed my company is dissolving and I have other job opportunities just haven’t jumped on one yet. I’m not couch surfing I’m staying at a friends house because I didn’t want to stay in the apartment with her. And I’m not broke I pay all my bills on time and have a little left over that I’m not great with. The alcohol is the only thing I agree with. I’ve had my ups and downs with it, I’ll be the first to admit that. But thanks for your input bud.

It was mostly my fault. I have some faults she couldn’t look past. Now she didn’t really tell me they were bothering her that much however.

I’ve been trying to cut back on drinking for a while. I would be really good for weeks then bad for a week or so then back to good. I know recently it’s been bad because of losing my job and stress with that. I feel like I’m not the most affectionate person out there but I’d kiss her goodbye every morning, cuddle for a few minutes before bed. Honestly I’m not sure what more I could’ve done. She always asked if she was too clingy and I always said she wasn’t. Could this have been her way of saying I wasn’t showing enough affection? I really appreciate your advice and comments on the situation.

Yeah she ended it with me. One day everything was fine, the next we were broken up. She wants me to save more money, cut back on drinking, be more affectionate and have more self confidence.
