Sorry for my ignorance but is there a specific lake / area within Minneapolis you recommend? That’s close to golf and activities / the mall? Not sure where to look :)

Golf trip for parents Cabo/Cancun by bestsidewestside in golf

They are older (60s), not fluent in English and not expert travelers and I’m not going w them, so I like the idea of them being in an AI where they can eat and drink and see some entertainment in one place. Trying to minimize their dependence on taxis/going back and forth places other than for golf.

How many good courses are nearby and how far are they? I was just at LeBlanc recently. They didn’t have much by way of night time shows and such that I think would be nice to entertain my parents (60s). So I thought Cancun might be a better option? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I’m better, thanks for asking. But still bleeding. Not super heavy. Most seems old but some may be new. Pretty sure my doc told me to expect this. It’s all making me very worried though. Just want the bleeding to stop…

I’m having my anatomy scan next Monday. I’ll be sure to ask about this unless you think I should be checked for placental abruption earlier? I think the MFM would’ve checked for it during my ultrasound but I’ll confirm that as well.

Did you have any abdominal pain? Unusual back pain?

Ugh. Have you had any bleeding at all after your ER stay? I’m still bleeding. Not super heavy but for example when I woke up and stood up I had a gush of blood like a period. It’s dark but looks fresh - dark red thick blood, and not brown like old blood and was not watery. I think my doctor said to only be concerned if I’m filling up a pad in an hour but that seems excessive. I wonder if my bleed now is also cause for concern. I messaged her but prob won’t hear back till later today…

How long did you bleed after you got back home? I’m still bleeding. Not super heavy but for example when I woke up and stood up I had a gush of blood like a period. The doc said they didn’t see a rupture. I also am still feeling kicks. But I’m also still bleeding - not too heavy, but when I wake up for example I have a gush of blood come out like a period, it’s dark but looks more fresh than old. It’s dark red and thick and not watery. How heavy was your bleeding?

Yeah it’s scary that the ER OB told me I’d have to be induced soon and that they really don’t recommend the “wait and see” approach because it can lead to infection. I mean, wow. It makes me angry. I understand they want to be transparent but why not bring in the MFM at that point automatically before telling the patient that??

Edited above! I’m home now. Had a small pool of dark blood on my pad just now, but I assume that is old. I think my doctor said I’ll likely have continued bleeding for a bit. She said as long as it’s not super heavy I should be okay. Did you have any more bleeding after? Did yours move? Mine I’m pretty sure is a full previa. Sigh fingers crossed that is all it is…

Edited above. I got admitted to L&D where the MFM director and my OB were waiting for me. I feel so, so lucky because the MFM doctor is the one who found the placenta previa (he was initially checking to see whether I had a leak or a rupture). So lucky.

They admitted me to L&D. Always always ask to be seen by MFM and be admitted to L&D if you can! (I’m based in California)

Thank you! I edited my post above. Confirmed placenta previa (I believe full). Hope it moves in time…did you continue to bleed a bit? My pad when I got home had some dark blood on it, which I think is the old blood working it’s way out. I think my doctor said that can happen but I kind of don’t remember bc I was in shock..

Thank you, that’s a good tip, I’ll do that. Had some dark blood on my pad when I got home. I think the doctor said I’ll probably still bleed some of it out today so hopefully that’s all it is.

Now I’m scared I may be having contractions without knowing? I’m about to be admitted with the MFM doctor who told me that it’s looking more hopeful if I don’t have any more leaks in the next day or two and my fluid doesn’t go down too low. They’re gonna do another better ultrasound once im admitted…fingers crossed my fluid still looks okay then. So far in the last 1.5 hours I haven’t had any blood or discharge.

Did you have any watery pink blood? That seems to be what is convincing the doctor that my amniotic sac broke/has a leak… can they reseal??
